I have tried to patch my bios to remove the supervisor password by unsoldering the bios chip (MX25L12873F)and plugged into ch341b programmer. After patching the bios chip with Lenovo_autopatcher_0.2 and programmed with CH341A Programmer software, I resoldered the bios chip on my T470 (20JN) motherboard and tried to power on the laptop, but unfortunately, now the laptop is not booting, nothing is shown on the display. I tried to program back with the original bios file but of no use, nothing is showing on the display. When I press the power button, the LED on the button does not glow. But when the power adaptor is connected then the LED on the power button glows and flashes for 3 times and than goes off. Can anyone tell me what to do now and how to fix the problem. I'll be very thankful and grateful to him. I have attached the original_BIOS file that i have saved before erasing the chip to program the patched_BIOS.

    Hi,

I tried to use the Autopatcher for the T470 BIOS, and I can no longer boot, even when flashing from my original dump.
I have used Neoprogrammer for Windows and IMSProg for Linux. Both times, I was unable to get to POST. I will be including four images from all the backups I took.
I'd appreciate if anyone could at least point me in the right direction to recover my BIOS.

    Parts Information
    Model: T470 Type 20HE-CT01WW
    MB Part No.: CT470 nm-a931 rev 2.0
    Serial No.: PF-0RLX6M

The thread is active. We don`t want 50+ seperate threads all asking for the same thing.

    🛠️ MSI GP75 Leopard MS-17E71 – No Display, Deep BIOS/EC Troubleshooting
    by macabook
    Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
    🧩 Initial Issue
    • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
    • External display (HDMI) shows

Hello, I was flashing the bios but now the machine does not come, the battery indicator turns orange when charge is plugged in. As soon as it plugged by charger or battery the power button and escape blinks once then fade out Sometime it blinks 3 timess . With the back case off i can see the fan spins a little then top, but once i press the button it spins a little then stop and repeat for a while until stops. I have attached the bios dump. I had read the chip next to the cmos battery (25q80jvsiq) then i realize that it wasn't the bios. as the bios is next the memory slot. By doing that could...

MSI PRO B660M-G DDR4 - real bios dump from board needed (no stock bios)
    by DynaxSC
Hi, I have an MSI PRO B660M-G DDR4 board with damaged BIOS and i need a bios dump from a real board, along with MAC, UUID and Serial Number info (eg. a BIOS screenshot and pictures from the board stickers).

I need to reconstruct the bios on my board, based on another bios image form a real board - meaning a bios image containing MAC address, UUID and Serial number. A stock BIOS is not suffiecient, as it is impossible to discover where the MAC, UUID and SerialNumber are stored. Tried with a similar board, but there are too much differences, and the stock BIOS is missing a lot of...

ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo UX8402ZA BIOS
    by pirati
    Hello everyone,

I recently bought a non-working Asus Zenbook Pro Duo OLED UX8402ZA that was listed for parts only. The seller mentioned that it had no display output but that the charging lights worked.

When the laptop arrived (without a charger and SSD), I connected a charger and confirmed with a multimeter that it was charging the battery. However, when I tried to power it on, only the backlight of the secondary display came on. There was no image, and it didn’t boot into the BIOS.

I decided to try flashing a new BIOS, but since I didn’t want to desolder...
