I have Lenovo w541 with password. I saved 4 and 8Mb bin. Used autopatch only for 4Mb. Erase chip/ check empty/ write patched file. Now the laptop dont start. I writed backup 4M bin file - the laptop dont start. What is wrong? Model motherboard is: LKM-1 WS MB 12291-2 48.4LO14.021

According to my notes: ThinkPad P72 [32MB] is supported!. Even though it has a 32MB bios, seems like the self-healing bios protection wasn't still fully enabled in this model.
Have unlocked 2 ThinkPad P52, which use the same bios for the ThinkPad P72.

The bios can`t be patched with the autopatcher. The pass is stored on a small chip 24RF08 or S08 .All you need to do is short 2 pins together on the chip while booting to remove the pass.Use the forums search function and look for 24RF08 ,youll find some posts that have the full instructions.
