Hey,

I have a few of these machines with BIOS pass. How exactly do you decrypt the code?

Attaching my BIOS here

I was able to find the AMITSESetup hash I think:

Hey - sorry mate accidentally uploaded the first guys BIOS instead of my own.. so yes you are correct for the file there.. Attaching now the real one I need the BIOS pass for.

Besides that where can I find the AMI XOR Cipher? Is it somewhere on this forum?

I actually just figured it out myself

After I found the AMI XOR decryption key, it was just plugging all data in a XOR decryption tool and decoding the hex

For my example the hex hash is
7200006a000034000035000062000031000030000035

and password rj45b105

Hey guys,

I have unlocked a bunch of these surface 3, but having trouble with 2. I attach a copy of the BIOS.


In the first one (surface 3 BIOS 1), I get the following password:
Gara!a1&

For this one, I suppose I am converting the hex file wrong and it's not reading special characters or similar. What do you guys get?



and the second (Surface 3 BIOS 2) I get the password as:

Jeglikerpizza542

or potentially
Jeglikerpizza5428

Neither of these 2 work to unlcok the BIOS.



Any help greatly appreciated!

Sorry to highjack. noob cant start new thread. Is there anyone that can please decrypt bios password from my surface pro 3? I've attached dump I made with ftw64 tool. Thanks!

Just bumping if anyone has a few minutes that can decrypt my bin or help me decode the dump. I think Ive found the data for password under AMITSESetup, but I'm unable to get to the next step. I think XOR key is: 0x935b, but that might be wrong. Any guidance on how to get from where I am to password would be greatly appreciated! Cheers!
