    Hello.
I have Lenovo T470. It has supervisor password and I couldn't remove it by myself.
I was able to dump the original BIOS image and patch it with Lenovo autopatch, but got a black screen after flashing it.
Could anyone help me remove the password from the BIOS please?

Thanks everyone. I figured it out myself. It is necessary to block the switch of the lower cover

Have you tried using the Autopatcher? https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...al#post3530123

            Hello,

I have this T470p and it requires a password to enter BIOS.
Dumped the BIOS, used autopatcher, but the laptop is playing a melody and nothing happens.
Tried autopatcher a second time and the screen stays black, without any sound.
Can someone help and maybe remove the password?

            Type: 20J6-0015RI
            S/N: PF-0TASNQ

            Thanks!

Thread merged..next time look for a thread with the name and model, motherboard model of the laptop, and post there, if you can't find it, then make a new thread..

When i was trying to read my Bios from my T470 so I can use the Autopatcher, something must have happened becasue now the laptop, only blinks the power light once and fan spins up, but no reaction to the power button, try to erase the chip and reflash with all kind of Bios from here but no change, How screwed I am and is this even a BIOs problem, Bios chip is not dead cause I can flash and erase it, but the laptop has not much life in it, checked if any componenet was knocked off, but I didn't see anything, also checked the legs of the chip and they do have solid connection.

                Any help would be appreciated.

                Thank you.

Now your computer is really dead because you didn't keep a backup of the original bios (even though they were corrupted).

Original BIOS was good but had a password on it, problem was that it didn't even give me a chance to save the original BIOS, it died after a few tries of trying to read the BIOS, did you hear about this from other people, I think I read that someone had the same symptoms but that was because a component was knocked off and I didn't see anything like that on my board.
