    Computrace on older Lenovos

What is the best way to remove computrace on older lenovos like T410, T420, T430, X220 etc?

I guess rewriting L08 but if so, what part of it needs modifying?

        Did you find a solution?

I unintentionally activated the computrace by doing tests.

        No computrace originally on it.

I put back the files of the 2 Bios chips and also of the RF08
        but nothing changes. Still blocked.

The funniest thing is that I tried to answer this post to find a solution ^^

Excuse my ignorance, but can't computrace be disabled permanently in bios settings?

no it's grayed out now and message at startup. I didn't have message before touching the 24ps08 (enable "not activate")
                    put back as original it changes nothing (25q32 & 25q64 + ps08)

                      In order :

I was in "enable (not activate)"

I have set to disable (I have saved)

then I put in "disabled permanently"(the window has become grayed out in "disabled" no more modification possible, it's normal.)save also

I inject reading of original ,think to find enable (not activate)

and from there I have the message: this pc is protected by absolute every time I want to enter the bios.
I then inject original of 2x 25Qxx +ps08 and always the message in red after F1

                            it's good, it works.

After starting without the 24Ps08, I put the last version permanently disabled.
                            And the Computrace message disappeared.
With option in the Bios "enable" but not Activate

Not a BIOS request per se, but closely related. Please bear with me

A while ago I found an old Lenovo Thinkcentre M720q in pieces in the electronics scrap bin at work. There was only some minor damage to the case, so collected everything and brought it home to let it dry and see if it still worked. It did

Unfortunately Computrace has been activated on it. Since I'm using it as an emulation console with Lakka now, it's no big deal, but would be nice to get rid of the annoying message popping up when entering the UEFI setup, and also learn something along the way....

I have finally found a source for Intel's BE200 wifi soldered "1216" sized modules (not the larger 2230 removable M.2 modules) and I was wondering if it is possible to swap the older AX2xxD2W wifi 6/6e with this new wifi 7 module on a laptop. Supposedly both the BE200D2W and the older AX2xxD2W chips use the standard "M.2 1216 footprint" but with an additional inner-ring of pads. We have schematics of various laptops that use the AX2xxD2W chips on this forum. What we need is a schematic of a laptop that uses the new BE200D2W to check if the pinout is identical or not. Do anyone...
