    Lenovo T420 LNVH-41-AB570 how to deactivation Computrace

    please help me how to deactivate in BIOS Computrace
    BIOS is without password

    TYP: 4236-S76
    SN: PB-RMR60


    I don't know what method to use for this model. Info from Lenovo Autopatcher is bello:

              Not a BIOS request per se, but closely related. Please bear with me

              A while ago I found an old Lenovo Thinkcentre M720q in pieces in the electronics scrap bin at work. There was only some minor damage to the case, so collected everything and brought it home to let it dry and see if it still worked. It did

              Unfortunately Computrace has been activated on it. Since I'm using it as an emulation console with Lakka now, it's no big deal, but would be nice to get rid of the annoying message popping up when entering the UEFI setup, and also learn something along the way....

              For Badcaps Readers, Please note that I am hopefully going to present this same message to Lenovo to see if they have any insight to the matter as well and figured to share the entirety here for clarification.               No video when trying to unlock Lenovo T420

              Hi guys,

              Today I pulled 5 Lenovo T420 laptops out of a bin at the rubbish tip, and they're old school laptops and they're all locked with a supervisor password.

              In the past I've unlocked similar Lenovo laptops, often I used the trick of shorting a few pins together on the chip on boot to get into the GUI and overwrite the config but it doesn't look like that is working with these laptops. I guess Lenovo fixed that trick? I have unlocked some other HP laptops by reading the chip, running a patch and re-writing back.

              But I can't work out these T420...
