    Automatically finding NVRAM/VSS store location

I have an application which modifies only VSS store/NVRAM. Right now I have manually made a layout table for lots of different models but I would like to make it automated.

UEFITool is able to find different regions. For example HP 840 G1 has NVRAM starting from DB0000h.

I would like to know how does it locate it. Is it written somewhere in the beginning of bios file?

    LG 55LM6200-TA country group/Area option
    by notallbad
This is a 2012 LG TV so aware full functionality of the smart functions/apps will be limited however currently unable to get the LG Smart Store.

Youtube, Netflix and LG Smart store icons briefly appear in the apps list but then automatically disappear after doing 'Initialisation of Premium' via the standard menu, I'm guessing this is due to the Country/Area group its set to is wrong for the UK.

Unable to change the country group, Area option can be changed which alters the country group but none make any difference. So believe its the country group that needs changing....

    Mac EFI Toolkit

Hi all. I'm Muerto, the creator of SMCTool/SMCFT. I thought this would be a good home for discussion regarding an open source pet project I've been working on that aims in easing Mac BIOS/UEFI analysis and editing. It is currently developed for Windows, however is Wine compatible based on my own testing, and feedback from others. Project available on Github, there is also a manual with basic usage instructions.

In terms of editing, it can export and replace the Fsys Store, edit the serial number + hwc, clean NVRAM stores, export and replace the ME Region in a limited...

    Hisense H60N5705 automatically switches off
    by _max_
Hisense H60N5705 installed in a conference room, turns off automatically a few minutes after being switched on.

Problem occurred suddenly, during a video conference. Switched on again by the remote control, it continued to work for a while and then switched off again.

Power cable and HDMI cable checked.

No changes by connecting the TV to another source but, even if it is left on the OSD menu, it stays on for a few minutes and then switches off.

So they took the TV (a 60' which is not easy to handle) to the lab and asked me to check it.

Repairing a Music Store Professional GO! SUB 18A
    by h0m3w0rk
    Hello everyone,

I'm working on repairing a Music Store Professional GO! SUB 18A bass subwoofer, and I need some help troubleshooting an issue with the power amplifier board. The board uses an IR2153 driver and originally had two SLW20N50C MOSFETs. Unfortunately, these MOSFETs burned out. I replaced them with two TK20J60W MOSFETs; however, these also failed almost immediately.

    Here are some details:
    • SLW20N50C (original):
      • Rated for 500 V
      • Typical RDS(ON): 0.21 Ω
      • Continuous Drain Current: 20 A at 25°C (13 A at 100°C)
      • Pulsed Drain Current: 80 A
      • Avalanche
