    Lenovo P52 20M9 BIOS needed

    Hello
I am in need of a BIOS dump for a Lenovo P52 with Xeon CPU and NVIDIA graphics
    The model Number is 20M9-CTO1WW
The computer was force shutdown while an X86_64 port of Android was booting, and the machine did not restart after. I suspect firmware corruption as the CPU power rails look okay

    Thanks!
Things I've fixed: anything from semis to crappy Chinese $2 radios, and now an IoT Dildo....

Sometimes you need to break shit to fix it.... Thats why my lawnmower doesn't have a deadman switch or engine brake anymore

That should still be under warranty.
Get Lenovo to fix it. BIOS is not supposed to get corrupt merely by shutting down while it's booting an OS. (if it was performing a BIOS update that's something else though)

It is out of warranty as of 10/19, sadly

Ah… Sorry I assumed it came with 3 years base warranty as all Thinkpads in Europe but I guess that's not the case in the USA. Really worth it to have more than 1 year warranty on such a high value product.

P52-MMX25L25.bin is the main BIOS chip

P52_W25Q80.bin is the other small flash chip. Was connected upside down at first, so may have been damaged and the dump may be bad.

                  Unfortunately no change.

I'm starting to suspect the CPU itself has failed as well.

Another bios for you to try. I copied the ME firmware from the RecoverDisabledPlatform_12.0.35.1427_v2 folder, (downloaded from the second link above) into your bios, there`s no more error messages now from MEAnalyzer .

                                Hello,

I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
So I thought it was a Bios problem.
I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V....

                                Hello there.

I am working on a Lenovo Legion T5-26AMR5 desktop that currently has a corrupt BIOS and I have been unsuccessful thus far in trying to fix it myself.

                                History:

                                1. This computer came to me initially with an error message that said "BiInitializeLibrary failed 0xc0000001" or "0135 fan error". It would always be one of the two errors. It should be noted that when it produced the fan error, there was no physical problem with the fans. They were all spinning just fine.

I searched for this error online and discovered...

                                Please I need help.

Quick rundown long story shorter, but still long winded.
I received this Lenovo P1 GEN 1 about a year ago from a business.

It was pretty much dead hit the power button and the LED on the power light would come on as would the keyboard back light a couple times and just shut off or go into high speed fan mode without life other than the power button led.

At that time it was still under warranty, I spoke to Lenovo and I was going to send it in to have them repair it.

Then late last fall my father-in-law suffered...

Hi all! I was reading on tutorials how to flash a bios to remove password from a bios, and I ended up reading the EC chip instead of the main bios chip, it only gave me a .bin file of 1,024kb, I learned later that that is the EC chip not the main bios chip (I should have read the tutorials here instead before attempting anything, my bad), I went to flash the original backup, the 1,024kb size file into the same chip and laptop is not powering up anymore. I may have screwed the chip or even the motherboard (Hopefully not), I am trying to see if there is a fix before I discard it. I had a couple...

                                Good day, everyone!

I'm encountering an issue with my Lenovo X1 Yoga 5th Gen laptop related to the BIOS supervisor password. I'm seeking assistance and guidance from the knowledgeable members of this community in resolving this problem.

I am no expert and cannot perform soldering or unsoldering of the chip from the board. Therefore, I attempted to use an EZP 2023 programmer with a clip to extract the BIOS bin file without removing the BIOS chip from the motherboard. The BIOS chip has the following letters imprinted on it: "Winbond 25Q80DVNIG 2026". I used the...
