Hi all new member here be gentle lol
I have jumped in here as probably better than starting a new topic,
I have a Probook 640 g1 which is Bios password locked, unfortunately for the moment i dont have the tools to read the existing bios chip.
Is there anyway to flash a new edited (with my serial number, UUID etc) bios over the top of the one installed. If need be will buy a programmer would just be easier for me.

I have managed to get a dump of my bios and ran it through hpunlocker but when i try to program the unlocked one back i am getting a "Write operations timeout error" i am using ch341a programmer can anyone offer any help.
I am using window 10 64 bit if helps any.

I am using the soic 8 clip and how do i know which chip to select in ch341a programmer software all i can make out on the chip is 25q12 and 13ec0 below it.
Just tried to flash and unlocked version of bios i posted and now has power light and charge light flashing

I can only try and write back my first bios dump and hope to god it works
The machine now doesnt boot at all, no display and has flashing charge led and solid power light. Think i have bricked it
AsProgrammer looks even more complicated tbh no idea what settings i should use.

I just wanted advice on the chip as stated above, Asprogrammer will do me no good as my bios is obviously corrupted now. The machine has no display now and as soon as the battery or power is plugged in the machine powers up but as stated no display or post now and white power light stays solid and charge light flashes orange. Can anyone help ?Comment

Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,... -
Hello,
I'm using TONGFANG "GM7TG7P" model laptop for over 3 years and i'm entering the same bios administrator password everyday. My laptop has Aptio BIOS (American Megatrends, AMI).
But today it's not accepting my password. I'm %100 sure i'm entering the correct password.
I'm trying to reset my bios without success.
I tried :
-I removed the BIOS battery and main battery. Waited for a long time but it didn't work. They already stated in the user manual that the password will not be reset even if the batteries... -

I need help unlocking the BIOS password on my HP ProBook 11 G2 laptop.

The laptop is no longer under warranty and HP refused to help me.
Iām looking for a custom SMC.bin file.
I don't have a CH341A programmer, so it's difficult for me to provide a BIOS file.

Hello everyone, I come here to tell you my problem regarding the power-on password. It is not a bios reset demand, and i can't have any access to windows. This is the bios and power-on password that is blocking all other things.
My Omen 15-dh0052nf purchased second-hand was configured with the bios password upon purchase (very simple password :P ).
Having decided to sell it in order to get something more powerful, I reset all BIOS settings and set a blank administrator password. But the power-on password cannot be changed to a blank one so I let the actual password set....
