for anyone reading this on 20250910... if you tried a bios from this tread and still no image on screen and everything seems to be fine, and if by any chance you get image on by HDMI try this... remove the screen and make sure the connection on the back on the LCD is properly connected, after trying a lot of bios versions I had to remove the screen and I noticed that the port was half way out on one of the corners, thus no image... just to make sure I was not loosing my time I tested the screen with a edp display tester and the screes was working fine... last thing to do is to connect properly the screen and cable and securing it with a little bit of tape(lots of it to prevent this little fkr to disconnect again) connected everything back again and the screen is detected and working fine. just before try any bios flash make sure you have all the things properly connected and I blame ASUS on this for not using metal braces to prevent the cable to disconnect, at the same time I thank Asus for not having me to replace the motherboard and for all the people on this forum for dedicating their time to put working bios up so we can test(one thing is sure, this laptop was not giving image or caps lock(usb keyboard with light, cuz this one has no state light.) activity before any of the bios I tried on this thread, so thanks again all of you and sorry for making you read this long post but I hope this helps youComment

by razor_amdWith ASUS, not everything is quite so simple. I will show you my way. It may be longer or harder but it is the right way to do it in my humble opinion.
For example, you can have 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all being the same model, all of which will have different BIOS versions.
I will give you an example and my version of preparing BIOS from ASUS website and in the process I am always cleaning Intel ME while doing it so you have fully cleaned BIOS, no DMI data, no password, nothing.
This is the picture of 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all of them being X555LD...-

by grimacelordHello,
I have spent the last hour on this and I guess this is just over my head, so here I am.
I have an ASUS TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI motherboard here that needs to have the BIOS updated in order to accept the latest CPUs.
The BIOS chips seem to come as a set of two: GD25B64ESIG and GD25B128ESIG. My guess is one of them is a fail-safe for the main BIOS? I really don't know. Or one of them is ME and other is BIOS? I don't know.
Anyway, I took dumps of both chips and then downloaded the latest update for this motherboard from ASUS's website...-

by TyMercerApologies if this is the wrong forum, but I'm not looking for a specific BIOS file, I'm trying to understand how one makes a clean BIOS file. So here's the background. I have 2 HP EliteDesk 800 g2 mini 35w pcs. One is working fine; the other doesn't have display out or working USB's nor does it have any flashing error lights. The CPU does get worm enough to cause the fan to spin up, so I think it's posting, but I just don't know. I had it working at one point but trouble started when I tried to put in a drive caddy that had a cooling fan on it. I thought it would be compatible but wasn't...
