by sam_sam_samThis started a few days ago and does this about every 8 hours
After it does this it goes back to normal no bad battery icon and no weird sounds and it goes to battery backup mode so I am not sure what is going on with this battery backup
The battery backup is about 3 or 4 years old
Dose anyone have any idea on how to troubleshoot this issue I have never had a battery backup do this kind-a thing before so I am not sure exactly how to troubleshoot it and where to start -
by WutruHi guys,
If someone would be able to provide some expertise, I'd be very grateful.
BIOS Corruption - Cause
So I managed to corrupt my machine by installing linux and enrolling custom secure boot keys. I did choose to enroll the Microsoft keys as well, to prevent any potential bricking due to 3rd party drivers from HP being signed with those keys.
After doing that, and rebooting(it did boot, powerLED, fanspin etc.), the laptop did not give any video output on the LCD or video connectors. I think I was able to get in BIOS and trigger the beeper by pressing ESC....-

by Destroyer-BrI’m working on a laptop in which I replaced the PCH, but I’m unable to clean or rebuild the Intel ME region using FIT.
When I load my dump into FIT, it only shows the Intel(R) ME Kernel section. The full ME region structure does not appear.
If I manually replace the ME region inside the decomp folder and try to build the image, FIT does generate an outimage.bin, but the file is corrupted.
After flashing it, the board does not power on — no signs of life.
I’ve identified that the issue happens because my original dump does not contain a complete or valid ME...-

The problem is that it always turns off after a few seconds (sometimes it stays on a bit longer, between 30 and 60 seconds, but it still turns off). The power light turns on and the bluetooth light starts blinking, but both abruptly turn off again. The "turn off sound" is still played after the lights turn off. Sometimes, it also loops the on-off cycle several times without me pressing any buttons. If I connect an AUX cable, music...-

by twonk9098Hi all,
I have a Lenovo Legion 5 with a Ryzen 7 series CPU and RTX 3070 GPU. My issue is that it turns on and all seems fine except after a few seconds the fans spin up high and the laptop turns off after 34 seconds.
I can get into bios and can even boot and login to Windows however after 34 seconds no matter if Im at the bios screen or booted into Windows it will just turn off.
I have managed to run HWmonitor and the temperatures of the CPU and GPU are fine, I can also touch the heatsync which is warm but not hot.
I have tried a few new bios but exactly... - Loading...
