    Vaio VPCZ-Fan on full speed after flash BIOS

    Hello,
    i have special problem. By me is Vaio VPCZ12X9E with MBX-206 mainboard.
    I have smashed original bios by modding for enable hidden settings...and i have no backup So i have found bios dump on internet for same MBX-206 mainboard and then i have flash it to bad one. Thats okay - notebook starts without problem and all is working....BUT after power on fan goes on full speed ...and still in full speed in bios settings and in windows too
    I have checked dust inside and all is clean...thermal compound is new.
    My idea is - maybe is some different within EU and USA version?
    Because dump is from VPCZ117CF and my vaio is VPCZ12X9E.

    Now i have modded installed bios for enable more settings - inside is now settings for fan speed - but this settings does nothing.
    I have attached my bios dump.
    Can anyone help me?

    now you should try various bios dumps to find a working one.
    unfortunately, the original Bios for VPCZ12X9E does not exists on the Sony website anymore. So you have to wait till someone uploads it here.

    There is also one in the following thread that you can try:

    The poster said: "it works like a charm" , but it does not belong to VPCZ12X9E.

      This post should be in the bios requests sub-forum.

      Anyway...

      The bios linked to by @caspian was an older one,Ver:R1180C3 ,i`ve merged the R3031C3 bios update into it and cleaned the ME area,it should be ok , but without the mods .The VPCZ1 models all use the same bios,the DMI area is different.

      The DMI info is at 34B000 - 34B2BF for anyone else who wants to edit their own DMI into this bios.
