        Your backup is corrupt,its less that 1MB compressed,if you look at the code with a hex editor you`ll see its mostly empty, all FF`s ,compare it to another bios youll see a lot more code. Your backup was corrupt for a reason.. ,try another chip.

                                                        You can use the bios at post #31 ,but you will need to copy the new "Vimbai ORIG MBA" serial number into it. See post #20 for info

                                                                My mistake, loaded the wrong one. I actually need this one with the ME cleared, its EMC3178 2017 not that 2015 one I uploaded.

                                                                                    I have 2015 MacBook Air A1466 EMC 2925 with 8Gb of RAM. It seams that I've killed it by bad SSD adapter. It starts, cooler works... But no chime, screen is black. SMC reset seams works, NVRAM reset doesnt works...

                                                                                    My repair guy has checked all possible. It's all ok with power. The last idea - I could kill EFI firmware... So, I need a firmware of EFI to check it. I have a programmer. But I don't have a similar laptop now to download it and compare

                                                                                    P.S. If you have else any ideas about repair, or you had a similar...

                                                                                    I have problem with Macbook Pro 15" 2017, model 2017, MB code 820-00928.

                                                                                    I bought it as broken with some artefacts on the screen, first I thought that this is problem with ribbon cable but after inspectiing ribbon cable I know it is fine. I tried to reinstall macOs and then I figured out that this must be something with GPU as installation freezes at the end (when drivers are loaded). I installed Windows and was able to install every each of drivers except GPU driver, as soon as I tried to install GPU driver - black screen and restart.

                                                                                    I received a 2013 Macbook Air A1466 820-3437-B motherboard with serial number C02L6GQ9FSV8 that came in WITHOUT a bios chip. I got a new bios chip and reprogrammed it. Macbook now powers on but doesn't boot the SSD. I've flashed a ton of bios but still same problem. Windows installation works with this Macbook but never a mac installation. Unfortunately, since I didn't receive this macbook with a bios chip, I don't have the original bios. What can I do now?...

                                                                                    Hey folks, came across a 2017 13" MacBook Air A1466 820-00165-A system that does not power on. When charger is plugged in, it will show a green then orange light, and eventually green light as the battery gets charged. Just no fan spin or response when pressing power button.

                                                                                    Tried SMC Reset and NVRAM/PRAM reset etc, nothing.

                                                                                    Took it apart, and no signs of corrosion anywhere, trackpad cable/keyboard cable all look good. Flipped board over, and U8040 is cracked, see attached. This appears to be a load switch for the audio system. I've ordered a replacement component...

                                                                                    I have a MacBook Air that was completely dead on arrival. During inspection I found a shorted capacitor near the SMC, which appeared to be the main fault. After replacing the capacitor, the short on the rail was cleared. The board then started recognizing the charger, charging normally, and the machine powered on. Initial testing outside the chassis showed normal behaviour.

                                                                                    However, after full reassembly a new issue appeared. There is no boot chime and no image on the screen, only the fan spins. The power button responds normally, it powers on without the charger connected...
