    Need bios for ASUS R301LA MOBO X302LA/LJ (or ASUS F302L)

    I have flooded Asus R301LA MOBO X302LA/LJ REV 2.0
    Asus F302L also has this mobo, so mayby bios also will suit.

    Voltages on coils looks ok, fan is spinning, but no screen, nothing on VGA. Current without battery about 0,3A.

          Thanks, but nothing changed with laptop- must be bigger problem with this flooding.

              Hi,
              I replaced broken ENE KB9018QF A3 and need EC firmware.
              Anyone who have it pls help.

                      As i see you extracted EC ROM from BIOS .
                      Or this is from working mainboard?
                      I tested your EC Firmware but still is the same- 78mA from power supply, fan max speed, no power for RAM and CPU (no eneble signal), no LEDs indicators. 3/5V and 1.05V for PCH present.
                      I alredy tried a few EC and MAIN BIOS (from ASUS web site also)

                                      unfortunately the files don't work. Still is the same. I think the EC firmware is incorrect.
                                      Maybe someone have EC ROM backup from working mainboard?

                                          You change kb9018qf because of what? if it's because damaged, verify if motherboatd have other fail components.

                                          If you change with a new one, you don't need to write ec firmware because asus laptop programing them on first starting.

                                              3.3V was shorted.That was EC. Now is ok.
                                              You're right, laptop programing EC on first starting.
                                              I thought that i need write firmware.

                                              Any sugeston what else can be damaged?

                                                  With ASUS, not everything is quite so simple. I will show you my way. It may be longer or harder but it is the right way to do it in my humble opinion.

                                                  For example, you can have 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all being the same model, all of which will have different BIOS versions.

                                                  I will give you an example and my version of preparing BIOS from ASUS website and in the process I am always cleaning Intel ME while doing it so you have fully cleaned BIOS, no DMI data, no password, nothing.

                                                  This is the picture of 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all of them being X555LD...

                                                  I have spent the last hour on this and I guess this is just over my head, so here I am.

                                                  I have an ASUS TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI motherboard here that needs to have the BIOS updated in order to accept the latest CPUs.

                                                  The BIOS chips seem to come as a set of two: GD25B64ESIG and GD25B128ESIG. My guess is one of them is a fail-safe for the main BIOS? I really don't know. Or one of them is ME and other is BIOS? I don't know.

                                                  Anyway, I took dumps of both chips and then downloaded the latest update for this motherboard from ASUS's website...

                                                  Hi,

                                                  I have a serious problem to program the Z590 chipset SRAM with a Management Engine after replacing the chipset.
                                                  The new chipset is factory new and is not containing any Management Engine. Any attempts to program it into the chipset under Windows ends with a failure (eg. Error 20: Management Engine Device not present, or something similar).
                                                  Due to the lack of the ME several ports on the board, including all M.2 ports aren't working, booting OS works only on USB. So it's now other way, as to program the chipset with a ME.

                                                  Usually on ASUS boards it worked...

                                                  A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
                                                  B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized
