    I just tried the file it works NBDMIF-1.14b "HPBQ193.exe



    I changed the serial number and then backed up




    Unfortunately it does not save anything I'm still in the same problem

                    Now i know why nbdmifit wasn`t working . Your bios backup you posted the link to,at post #20 is exactly the same as the bios posted here at post #1 https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=46678 .The bios has an admin and user password .
                    Try the bios from ala_borbe at post #8 on that same thread .

                              flash a programmer with 8470p novi.BIN

                              * Working on Windows
                              on the desktop extract the file NbDmiFit_2.06.zip

                              go to the folder

                              1NbDmiFit_2.06 -> wndmifit-> wndmifit.exe


                              complete the information:


                              choose the model: Hp EliteBook 8570p
                              ******** Tpm State: on
                              ****** computrace: on
                              serial number: 5cb ........
                              -> copy serial number *

                              system board ct: PDXVU00WB1406k


                              -----------------------------
                              ( clic sur commit & Lock MPM )
                              -----------------------------

                                  So, I was thinking.... How are you all obtaining and restoring these dumps? Direct access to the EEPROM or are you using a boot disk to obtain a backup?
                                  Also, why not just use HP's BiosConfigUtility with a /get:"filenamehere.txt" to have a full output of everything config. Serial, UUID, Bios version, etc etc. Afterwards you can restore only the VSS styles portion of a clean dump with flashrom.

                                  Just a question. Also, has anyone had issues blowing out the MAC address of the nic after using one of these dumps?
