      Re: Remove_SMM... UEFI.

First extract as is with UEFITool (use search) Lenovotranslateservice and Bootoption.
Replace as is Lenovotranslateservice and Bootoption with the files you extracted.
If you have black screen or freeze try ctrl+alt+del or power on/off few times. If not working try with a hdd with password.

If you get no image and 5 beeps:

Use a hex editor and fill with ff the following files:

VSS2 store Data address: 800064h Body size: 26F9Ch
VSS2 store Data address: 82701Ch Body size: 26FE4h
FTW store Data address: 84E020h Body size: 1FE0h
(ex. from address 800064h to address 800064h + 26F9Ch fill with FF)

and replace EVSA store Base address: 880000h size: 20000h with the file attached .

You can check the address and size in your bios dump with uefitool.
Follow the post from dani981 post 490.

Use Uefitool 0.27.0 for replacing the 2 files and Uefitool A56 to see or comfirm the address.

There is no need to wait 10-15 seconds before pressing enter when hardware ID is bypassed. Stop wasting your time

Hello and thank you for the reply.
It's acting strange... when I program the flash chip it give me an error every time to the same address 0x400058 when verify the programming.

If I start the notebook with how it is programmed it give me 5x5 beeps.

When I program the original file it work perfectly, verify is correct.

So I start again the notebook with password, only to check to see is OK, and it is.

Now I let the motherboard more time to discharge and read again the flash.
Can you try patching again this file?

I figure it out. The notebook it have 8MB flash. Probably someone try to unlock and replace the chip. Very strange that it start and ask for password. I discovered only when I change the chip
So, I resolved by changing the BIOS chip, write one ME clean BIOS dump. After that I patch the new BIOS.
                                          Thanks for your efforts.
