840 g2 i7patched.bin

how you unlocked the bin file?

Buying a programmer and soic8 clip is cheaper than buying a pre programmed chip

What is the question/problem?
And please be specific. What is "winbond chip" and what is "the other one". Give us some model numbers.

The chip flashes but laptop dont boot the chip I flashed was
Mxic 25l12873fm2I -10 also tried the winbond 1527

There is no 1527 winbond chip.

But doesn't matter, mxic is the main bios chip.
What file are you trying to flash? Where is your original file? What model laptop?

So it looks like it might be HP Sure Start in action. On booting, the laptop indicates a checksum error and then restarts with the old bios as configured. Any further thoughts on this?

Did you ever find a way around sure start? I was able to erase the second chip but after booting it reprograms itself.
