Did you ever find a way around sure start? I was able to erase the second chip but after booting it reprograms itself....

Hi everybody,
I've been playing with electronics for many years, always trying to squeeze all the performance I can out of them. I came across this site after having issues with an HP machine which broke down after 1 1/2 years. HP repaired the hardware but I misplaced the BIOS password and can't get it to boot.
