Re: 100% working MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2016, 4 TBT3) BIOS dump
Hello everyone!
Got a weird one here.
A1706 4 TBT3 EMC 3071
serial C02SRB43GTFJ
Would boot 1 time out of 10 lets say.
Most of the times trackpad click is on, but no image.
When I got to login screen, sometimes it hangs.
Diagnostic gave no issues, when I was able to run it.
It always goes to 20V. when I get no image, fans never spin and cpu cooler gets quite hot.
Could this be a BIOS issue? Board is clean, no liquid ,no previous soldering whatsoever.
I post here the original BIOS, can someone help me with a clean ME?
Thanks in advance!Attached FilesComment

Hello Peste,
Was wondering if you can help me with this one.
a1706 emc 3071, 820-00239-a, sn: C02TL7U0GTFJ
I dumped bios.fin file, cleaned password, flashed cleaned file to chip but now it will not boot. It does turn on and charges according to my amp meter. It gets warm and fans turn on but no display. I think my dump is bad/ corrupt.
Here is my original dump... Thanks!Attached FilesComment

Hi Peste,
Thanks for your help! Unfortunately its still not working. It turns on, gets warm, fans turn on but never get image on the display. I tried flashing on two different chips just in case but same result. Not sure where to go from here. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.Comment

by samstownHello,
This special tool from Apple is used to recover data from Macbook A1706. I've been using it for a while but it stops working. When connecting Thunderbolt 3 between the tool and working Macbook, Macbook should prompt "new device detected, allow or not"... but it doesn't.
Has anyone ever experience this ? It's not a cabling or power supply issue, some IC have stopped working but not sure which one. Probably the one that manager thunderbolt 3
Thanks

by rilleyHello everyone,
I am new into this, sorry to post it here. I want to make this as a pet hobby project, as this mac is not urgent.
I have (Macbook Pro 13inch 2017mid) A1706 820-00923-A
My mac had liquid damage a long time ago, the connector from J8500 is damaged on pin 46 (PP5V_S0_ALSCAM_F), I guess the LCD/display panel is in short circuit, as I saw the connector from the LCD burned as well.
And the resistor L4004 is literally burned.
From what I see from the schematics, it does not affect any other rails, only the connection to the display... -
by zaler808Hi guys, this my first post but i want to be brief about it, i recently got a MBP L2013, the problem was that after some use the macbook shutted down randomly, at first i suspected to be the battery, and after connecting it with the charger i noticed that i didn“t shut, but after an hour or so it shutdown, after that i started searching a solution to my problem, but my brother tried to help me to find the problem and it that process to replicate the problem he reproduced a 4k video in multiple tabs and not much time after the macbook shutdown to never power again, what i noticed was that the...05-23-2024, 05:17 PM

by mariusm28Hi,
I bought a waterdamaged macbook pro A2338 , late 2020 EMC 3578, its stuck at 5V 0,06mA.
The 3V8 (U5700) chip is shorted out, atleast the PPBUS_VMAIN_VIN_ISNS Cap is and a bunch of resistors. It also seems that a resistor is missing. Does anyone have a boardview to tell me wich resistor goes where arround the U5700?
And for the macbook to boot it requiers 20V am I right? Wich chip tells the charger that it is a Macbook and not a phone?
Thank you so much!... - Loading...
