it was NM-D601.
i used 420 degrees with 80% airflow no nozzle with my quick hot air station.
as the cpu was trash, i did not to care about removing it carefully.
most important to me was to keep all solderpads....

my cpu was dead as well.
i did change the cpu yesterday with a used one which i ordered in china. My notebook is back to business but i have some other troubles.
One ram socket will cause a no boot whenever i plug a module in and the gpu has code 43....Leave a comment:

on cpu i have 11ohm, on R36 22 ohm to ground.
check if you have EN_VR_ON coming from EC.

All main voltages are present on their power supplies
20V
5V
3.3V
1.8V
0.7V
Powerbutton 3.3V
It charges the battery well
Powering on :
-Light on Powerbutton
-NO voltage on CPU/RAM/GPU
I dont find any short on the board.

a1990 820-01041-A running very slow and high fanspin
I got this board for practice.
It had a liquid damage around U5850.
Cleaned it, ran a jumper and put back one missing resistor (R5850,47ohm) and cap C8286 (1UF).
Fans are still spinning on maximum and machine is running very slow.
I found PP1V8_S5 not present and CPUVR_PGOOD not present.
Appreciate all help.... -

I spent some time with this board and did not find any short, but what i see on the earlier posted sheet, is PWR_SL1_F is powering EXT_DC_IN.
EXT_DC_IN is produced by Q6308. Nothing appears short, EXT_DC_IN stays 0V
Find attached my readings.
What i furthermore found on the board is U7004 having a hole.

Hello all,
i am trying to fix a surface pro 5, M1013936-015
As you can see +vsys is at 0.4V which appears to me much too low.
Ext_Dc_in is always 0V when charger is plugged but PWR_SL1_F is stable at 15V.
3V3_SAM is at only 0.428V, should be 3.3V , isn`t it?

Can i use Winbond instead?
Depending on which BIOS i use, i get 0.19a , 0.65a = both not booting device
