a1990 820-01041-A running very slow and high fanspin
I got this board for practice.
It had a liquid damage around U5850.
Cleaned it, ran a jumper and put back one missing resistor (R5850,47ohm) and cap C8286 (1UF).
Fans are still spinning on maximum and machine is running very slow.
I found PP1V8_S5 not present and CPUVR_PGOOD not present.
Appreciate all help....

Re: Surfave Pro 5 no power +vsys 0.4V
I spent some time with this board and did not find any short, but what i see on the earlier posted sheet, is PWR_SL1_F is powering EXT_DC_IN.
EXT_DC_IN is produced by Q6308. Nothing appears short, EXT_DC_IN stays 0V
Find attached my readings.
What i furthermore found on the board is U7004 having a hole.
I need to order this part....

Re: Surfave Pro 5 no power +vsys 0.4V
I use xzz for this device and did not compare the board numbers as every part in the boardview is in its place on the board.
What can drop voltage without being short?

Surfave Pro 5 no power +vsys 0.4V
Hello all,
i am trying to fix a surface pro 5, M1013936-015
As you can see +vsys is at 0.4V which appears to me much too low.
Ext_Dc_in is always 0V when charger is plugged but PWR_SL1_F is stable at 15V.
3V3_SAM is at only 0.428V, should be 3.3V , isn`t it?
Appreciate all help...Last edited by Harryrepair; 01-06-2022, 10:32 AM.

Re: 100% working MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2016, 4 TBT3) BIOS dump
Can i use Winbond instead?
Depending on which BIOS i use, i get 0.19a , 0.65a = both not booting device
I used one BIOS version which let me boot the device with 0.85a but this "disabled" message.Last edited by Harryrepair; 06-26-2021, 03:32 AM.

Re: Macbook pro touchbar 820-00239
Starting internet recovery always brings me back to "your computer is disabled, try again in 60 minutes."
I need i think a fresh efi dump with ME Region free

Re: Macbook pro touchbar 820-00239
Hey mon2,
i put back the backlight fuse and ****, it was still taking 0.65.
Putting back into housing it is starting.
It gives me a ?folder.
Recovery is not possible as computer is disabled. I did some work and exchanges on BIOS chip before.
Could you maybe send me a fresh dump regionfree bios?
Somehow i am not able to do this with intel clean me application.

Re: Macbook pro touchbar 820-00239
Thank you mon2.
I took out the fuse and get 20V on charger. Now i am confused.
Does this mean that the cd`s are ok?
Just for my understanding...
I would mention that like on schematic page 66 all connections/values till PIN1 on F7000 are working properly but
with beginning on PAD2 (to System) something is dropping / lets circling my values.
I have no short on PIN2 (about 33MOhm and 0.564 in diode mode)
One more comment :
When i solder out F7000 i get 20V 0a...Last edited by Harryrepair; 06-25-2021, 02:08 AM.

Re: Macbook pro touchbar 820-00239
Grazie, no problem.
Actually it tried to change all 4 cd3215 and i am stuck now at 5v and for a second 0.03a on all 4 ports. PPBUS_G3H at 0.2v without short.
I am not sure if i will spend more time on this one.

Re: Apple 820-2327-A PP3V42_G3H Low
I would solder out R6995 and R6996 and measure them. If still the same, i would exchange them.Last edited by Harryrepair; 06-05-2021, 04:51 AM.

Re: Apple 820-2327-A PP3V42_G3H Low
Hey ,
i am new to this as well, but like to figure out with you.
PIN1 seems to be ok, you should have a look behind the coil on pin 2 and following, isn`t?
Have a look at C6999.
