Re: Dell E6430 Dump of A18 Bios
The zip file you posted contains two files. I was expecting a single file to flash using fpt. Please can you tell me how can I use the two files to flash the BIOS?

Re: Dell E6430 Dump of A18 Bios
It is not possible to deactivate signed firmware update on the E6430 and newer models.
Anyway I solved my problems. I bought another E6430 updated it to A18, made a dump and flashed it on the one I had problems with. Worked as expected.
I attached the Bios Dump of both eeproms (U52+U53) if anybody else needs it.
It recent Version A18 and does not contain a password.
It is from a Dell Latitude E6430 with integrated Intel Graphics. I don't know if this works with E6430 with Nvidia or AMD Graphics.Attached FilesLeave a comment:

Have you tried to disable secure boot and try again?Leave a comment:

Re: Dell E6430 Dump of A18 Bios
Unfortunately it does not. It just does a normal reboot, instead rebooting and starting the flash process.
I guess A18 will be the last Update for this model. If someone with a E6430 can send me a dump (should be possible with the software I attached) I can solve this with ease.Leave a comment:

Re: Dell E6430 Dump of A18 Bios
It does not work. It just does a normal reboot, when it is supposed to flash.
It does not help to add /f or /forceit suffix. Restoring Bios settings to default does not help either. It does not matter if I try to flash from Dos or Windows.
It does not work with Upgrade from A14 to A15, or directly A18.Leave a comment:

Thank you very much ridamouh159!
I allready found these files of yours in another thread. They are working perfect, but it is version A14 (correct me if I am wrong).
I was searching for A18.
Thank you anyway for your support and keep up the good work.Leave a comment:

Re: Dell E6430 Dump of A18 Bios
I managed to Dump the Bios from Windows using Intels FTPW Programm (it creates one 12.6MB file, but this can be split).
Is there anyone with a Dell E6430 with recent Bios A18 who can help me?
I attached the FTPW Progamm, just unzip and execute dump.bat (I guess from command line, I did not try it from Windows Explorer, but it may work also) and upload the the file bios.bin it creates?Attached FilesLeave a comment:

Re: Dell E6430 Dump of A18 Bios
As far as i know its not posible to dump reliably any way other than programmer
Did you try to clean %temp% and run flash?
Somerimes flasher there create folder with .fd file and that can be used to extract filesLeave a comment:

Re: Dell E6430 Dump of A18 Bios
Flashing the HDR File while pressing "end" does not work. Either because it is not the proper HDR file, the filename is wrong, or because the signed firmware feature prevents this. Maybe this method does not work anymore anyway.
The /writeromfile /writehdrfile does not work anymore since quite a while.
Is it possible to dump the two Eeproms (8MB+4MB) from windows/linux using software? RWEverything or something like this?Leave a comment:

by jhanraHi there masters, recently i got a dell 5400 chromebook and wanted to install windows, i searched the internet and i found out other people also wanting a UEFI bios for this model, i searched there is a R/W legacy, but there are bugs like keyboard/trackpad not working, and hard to install.
so i decided to try to port one, this bios is based on dell 5400 windows version, i am testing this bios for a week now an found only a little to no bug at all in windows 10, or only a minor issue
in windows 11 sound driver compatibility, but overall its ok, for me i can deal with it, 😅😅😅...-

by TripTopHi
i have dell latitude E7270 with following symptoms:
- takes long time to restart.
- sometimes powers on and then off
- sometimes while working it just dies,
From googling online bios clean could possible resolve this?
i was able to save bios and was going to try bios clean myself but get an below error when i drop it in ME analyzer.(unsure whether this sometimes occurs or could be due to bad/corrupt bios)
As ME analyzer gave me an error i just decided to write bios with a cleaned bios from E7270 bios post.
I reinstall...-

by mikeybassHi, I hope some one has some advice for me. I searched the forums but didn't see anything relevant. I acquired two identical Dell 9010 Mid Tower computers from a business office upgrade (they were going to throw them out). Both of them have the same motherboard (00F82W). One of them works flawlessly. The other one had a corrupted BIOS. I tried flashing numerous main BIOS and EC files from the internet, but none of them worked. I decided to copy the main BIOS and EC from the working 9010 computer and successfully flashed the corrupted BIOS. This got the computer able to boot again and run norm...
