  • Unlock Toshiba Tecra Z40t-C or Bios dump

    Hello,
I need to unlock a Toshiba Tecra Z40t-C. Any help greatly appreciated. I will attach a full bios dump of this laptop (PW locked of course).

If somebody could provide a bios dump of an unlocked laptop I might be able to do this myself....

  • Extract Panasonic Toughbook cf-53 mk2 Bios Update EXE

    Hello,
I want to adapt my solution to remove Panasonic cf-53 mk2 Bios PW to CF-53mk3.
I succeeded with using an eeprom dump from an password free CF-53 already,
but I would like to use Bios Parts of an official Bios Update.
I canĀ“t extract it from the exe. I could not find it in temp folders as well.
But maybe some of you guys or gals know how to do it and is willing to help me....

  • Re: Dell E6430 Dump of A18 Bios

You need to write it directly to the 2 EEPROM chips using an eeprom programmer (you can also use an raspberry pi with the software "flashrom" for this). Either desolder the chips and put them in the programmer, or use a test clip without desoldering the chips....

  • Re: E6530 LA-7762p Bios and Ec file needed

    I attached Bios dump of QUALA 1, LA-7762P, Rev 1.0 (A00)
Unfortunately the board is not working. I don't know why.
The bios dump may be with password, or even corrupted.
So please try at your own risk.

Please give feedback if it is working or not.

    With best regards...

  • Re: Dell E6430 Dump of A18 Bios

It is not possible to deactivate signed firmware update on the E6430 and newer models.
Anyway I solved my problems. I bought another E6430 updated it to A18, made a dump and flashed it on the one I had problems with. Worked as expected.

I attached the Bios Dump of both eeproms (U52+U53) if anybody else needs it.
It recent Version A18 and does not contain a password.
It is from a Dell Latitude E6430 with integrated Intel Graphics. I don't know if this works with E6430 with Nvidia or AMD Graphics....

Unfortunately it does not. It just does a normal reboot, instead rebooting and starting the flash process.
I guess A18 will be the last Update for this model. If someone with a E6430 can send me a dump (should be possible with the software I attached) I can solve this with ease.

  • Re: Dell E6430 Dump of A18 Bios

It does not work. It just does a normal reboot, when it is supposed to flash.
It does not help to add /f or /forceit suffix. Restoring Bios settings to default does not help either. It does not matter if I try to flash from Dos or Windows.
It does not work with Upgrade from A14 to A15, or directly A18.

    Thank you very much ridamouh159!
I allready found these files of yours in another thread. They are working perfect, but it is version A14 (correct me if I am wrong).
    I was searching for A18.
Thank you anyway for your support and keep up the good work.

  • Re: Dell E6430 Dump of A18 Bios

I managed to Dump the Bios from Windows using Intels FTPW Programm (it creates one 12.6MB file, but this can be split).

Is there anyone with a Dell E6430 with recent Bios A18 who can help me?
I attached the FTPW Progamm, just unzip and execute dump.bat (I guess from command line, I did not try it from Windows Explorer, but it may work also) and upload the the file bios.bin it creates?...

  • Re: Dell E6430 Dump of A18 Bios

Flashing the HDR File while pressing "end" does not work. Either because it is not the proper HDR file, the filename is wrong, or because the signed firmware feature prevents this. Maybe this method does not work anymore anyway.

The /writeromfile /writehdrfile does not work anymore since quite a while.

Is it possible to dump the two Eeproms (8MB+4MB) from windows/linux using software? RWEverything or something like this?

  • Dell E6430 Dump of A18 Bios

    Hello,
I need a dump of the recent A18 Bios of Dell E6430 (Bios and EC)
The Notebook has A12 and just ingores any attempt to update its bios. (the upgrade itself does never start, it just does a reboot)
I guess it is because of "Signed Firmware Update Feature", as I programmed the Eeproms with an eeprom reader. I have trouble with lan connection when using a docking station.

There are dumps already posted on badcaps, but just A07 and A12.

Or is there a way to create the 2 bin files out of the...

    Re: Dell precision m4700

    Greetings!
Here is a dump of EC and main bios of a Dell Precision M4700.
It is password free and the recent A14 Version.

I guess it is too late for you, but maybe someone else might find this useful.

The eeproms are marked U52 and U53 and can be found just beneath the docking connector.
I attached a picture of this as well.

    With best regards...

  • Re: Samsung LE46M86BD moving bar errors for some Minutes

I have done a little bit of research about "tab bond" failure and tried to apply some preasure when the problem shows up.
It seems you are right, as this fixes the problem for a short time.

Could this be some kind of cold solder joint problem on the ribbon cables?
Any chance to improve the situation with a heatgun?

  • Samsung LE46M86BD moving bar errors for some Minutes

    Hello everyone!
Our Samsung LE46M86BD TV shows some moving bars after turning on (no matter if it is connected to any device or not).
After 10-20 Minutes the picture is perfect.
Sometimes the picture is perfect after turning the tv on and the stripes wait for 3 Minutes or so to appear.

I made a video of the problem

We changed the t-con board, but this did not really help.
    Anyway it...

  • Re: New Members - please post your introductions here

    Hello everybody!
I am from germany and occassionaly do repairs on TFTs, Laptops and now TVs also. And so, of course, I have ended up looking for information on badcaps more than once.
I hope I can find advice here in the future and maybe help other users fix their problems.
And of course I want to start new threads ;-)

    Greetings
