    Toshiba L655-12L bios

can some help me with a bios?
    i got the original.
    its got pass on it.

    now the story :

it was working and had a few scratches because someone try to desolder bios battery and broke a pad.

scratches under memory but i did work. he even desolder bios bt i don`t know why.

now as soon i desolder bios first pad came of. one line its not hard to rewire but Nothing, 0 activity.

i wanna know because the first try i work on the bios without scope, with bare eyes and maybe i made a short.

i can read the chip and write it back with ezp and ch341 but the chip has no activity on oscilloscope the 3.3v or 3.5 v its flat.

PW BT drops down on depress but still nothing.

is the bios file bad or my shi tty chip has gone fubar?

maybe another bios file will show!??!?!

If i can read and write, can the chip be bad?

Its flat on scope. No activity.

does your programmer have ability to verify eprom?
if not, write and read, and then compare crc of both files, thay must be the same

in the past i had eeproms which reads, erases, wite with no error but written and read data are not the same as written file (some adresses in eprom dead)

            alright!

so i got the bios here and guess what?!?!?

every device i use on this chip if i click verify it blocks and gives a error.

i have to take out the usb and plug it in back.

again ! it reads and writes the chip (delete all perfect)

            already ordered 2x sst25vf016b .

            maybe i get lucky

the sad part is that i always preach to others : Don`t work after others(you don`t know what they did) and i do it!

              Re: Toshiba L655-12L

it still gives me a error on verify with ezp with the new chips.

CH still takes half a hour to write.

p.s. when i write with ezp some line goes after read with FF FF.
              they become FF after read

what CH341 writes on the chip EZP2010 reads null FF FF on all the chip

                Re: Toshiba L655-12L

i think the ezp its dudu and ch341 can`t do similar.

anyone got the old firmware for ezp? not the v3.0

i try on xp with them i try on win7. they all do the same.

they write then after read some address goes FF FF

                  Alright.
Bought another ezp. Ofc it did the same.
The seller gave me something that I scrap after 1 week when I bought my ezp, adapter to solder the chip. I hate it because I had to solder and desolder the chip twice.

Now when I bought the second one and i saw that is doing the same I tested the clip that I was using to hold the chip and the continuity was OK.

So I tested with the adapter that I have to solder and guess what it freaking work.

Ala_borbe the bios you gave it works.
                  Thank you

                    Re: Toshiba L655-12L

i always unsloder bios from board and solder on adapter, it gives me trouble sometime, but i know that my programmer works, so i make 2-3 adapter and try another or recheck solders

always keep handy one working eprom that i can use to test if programmer broke or something else is wrong cos most spi chips are compatible, only mind the size, although i have placed bigger ones cos i did not have proper size and it worked every time (take 4mb bios and place 8mb eprom and add 0x00 to rest 4mb to fit size)

anywas glad to hear its working

                      by jbonavita
Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
                      Some issues
                      A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

                      Things I tried

                      by zenius
Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...

Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 (serial number: MP2BFZEF) bios request
                      by Wahaz
                      Hello,

I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
So I thought it was a Bios problem.
I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V....

Request BIOS files to flash Toshiba C55-A-1TX laptop
                      by YvD-Electronics
                      Hi all,

I need the BIOS (bin files) to re-flash the BIOS chips on a toshiba laptop.

Why I am pretty sure I need this to repair?

                      1) Power supplies seem OK.

                      2) Battery has been replaced, is charging well ... also not the CMOS battery CR2032, also not OK without RAM, or 1 or the 2 RAM modules (RAMS are OK).

                      3) Laptop does really rare (seems random things) with the 3 leds (power, net, ...)

                      4) In the past, when trying to restart 100 times via power button, it was sometimes succeeding, now no more.
                      ...
