last night i did one like this
my model was g62-a19sa.
i did a reflow and after it did not power(no light to dc jack)
power button had 3.3v was dropping normal and after i went to check bios; everything was fine until i put the probe on PIN3 and the dam bastard started.
i think was something related to that bios but i don`t understand what so maybe it discharged.Just cook it! It's already broken.Comment

My problem is that i don't charging light on, when i press power button, nothing... but if insert bettery alone power button LED lights up, doesn't do anything stillComment

when bios its bad there is NO light and no power from battery or DC

with new bios charging light is on, but as soon as it light up the fan start blowing at full speed, no video , no sounds....Comment

yea u need the correct bios flash file ,if its not correct fan will be speeding fast and dont look for any display to come onComment

After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I was searching the BIOS on this Alienware Area-51m laptop to try to find the info for a customer, but could not find it. I discovered that info is encrypted and hidden only Dell can pull it up. So then I thought, there may be someone who needs a working BIOS dump bin file for that laptop. So, I am uploading it to help others who may need this to unbrick the laptop or fix their Area-51m. The BIOS chip was a Winbond 25Q80DVSIG. If this helps someone out there, then my labor was not wasted. I just zipped it so I could attach it....

Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
Some issues
A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized
Things I tried

Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...
