Re: HP6735s "invalid serial number", bios needed
underneath that sticker is a motherboard code which is i guess 6050A2235601-MB-A03
all dumps i found are 2 mb.... schematics also says 2mb SST_25VF016B...
why not take eeprom from other non working board and put it in... its worth a try.... any 2mb spi eeprom should work
did you see traces of soldering when opened? maybe someone did some work before you... :/Comment

Re: HP6735s "invalid serial number", bios needed
HP Elitebook 8460p, fine for many years but after a power outage it went into "Manufacturing Mode". Got past that but was having the "System Board (00A)" not found errors after that and then Windows wasn't activated anymore. This worked for me:
1- nbdmifit -2.10 above, built out a bootable flash drive with this, using Rufus / Freedos.
2- Renamed \wndmifit\FSMC.bin to SMB.bin and copied to root of flash drive.
3- Shut down. Hold windows key, Up-Arrow key, and the Down-Arrow key then the power button. This put my machine back into Manufacturing Mode (required for next steps)
4- Disable UEFI in BIOS (if used), boot directly to USB flash drive with Freedos, run the Run NBDMIFIT.BAT and followed the prompts - this didn't work earlier until I used STEP 3. When done rebooted and no more Manufacturing Mode anymore. Restore UEFI in BIOS if needed.
5- If seeing a "Restore Mode On" message during boot, I was able to fix that by re-running the HP BIOS update program on my device and then rebooting.Comment

Re: HP6735s "invalid serial number", bios needed
Thank you guys so much, just repaired my old HP Probook 6360b. I had to use the new NbDmiFit-2.09, it is a little bit different than the previous version. Was able to re-program the S/N, CT, Product # now the computer no longer gives me the "invalid System Board (00A) - Product Configuration". Learned something new and was able to repair my laptop, again thank you guys.Comment

by WahazHello,
I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
So I thought it was a Bios problem.
I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V....-

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to recover a Fujitsu Lifebook E5513 (most likely 2023 model) that was bricked during a BIOS update. The update was interrupted (probably due to power loss), and now the laptop is stuck in a boot loop showing "PBB rollback" / "SBB rollback" messages.
BIOS access (F2) and Boot Menu (F12) are no longer possible – the system instantly reboots after the rollback messages.
I extracted the official BIOS update package from Fujitsu (contains FJNB2FD.CAP, ~18.7 MB) and tried tools like UEFIExtract, but it seems to only contain...-

by jbonavitaHi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
Some issues
A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized
Things I tried
1- Update / clear ME: Took the non working bios, made a backup, and did this: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...theory/trouble...-

by iulik17dHello everyone!
The Asrock A380 low profile card (ID 8086 56A5 - 1849 6006) have an power limit of 45W. Intel removed the possibility to increase power using the software utility, anyway the card is in an proxmox machine that doesn't run windows.
The same hardware is in another form by the name Asrock A380 Challenger that have the same VRMs and the power limit is at 60W. I searched online and found on another website an .bin bios file from the Challenger variant, that I flashed using an CH341a. Flashng worked well, I put the card in PC and booted. GPUz shows that new device ID is 8086...-

by zeniusHello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...-
