    17n_amd_fp6_lucienne bios

    Hello,

I'm posting in this thread because I have a very similar model and I'm not able to create a new topic yet.

Laptop Model: HP 17-cp0003sf Motherboard: 17n_amd_fp6_lucienne
    SN 5CG42005KK

Problem: The laptop is stuck in a boot loop and will not start.

    Symptom sequence:
    1. On the first power-on, a recovery screen appears with a progress bar.
    2. The process finishes or fails, and the laptop shuts down.
    3. It automatically powers on again to a black screen and hangs (no POST).
I am looking for a working BIOS dump for this model. I have tried to build one from the official updater, but the firmware is packed inside the EXE in a complex way that I cannot extract.

I am attaching my two files:
    1. My original 16MB backup. The file is structurally corrupt (UEFITool can't parse its regions), but it should contain the board's original DMI information (Serial Number, MAC address, etc.).
    2. The official BIOS update EXE from the HP support site.

Could someone please help me by either extracting the firmware from the EXE or providing a known-good dump with my DMI data transferred?

    Thank you very much.

Just run the .exe in another PC, you'll get 3 options, first to update BIOS (won't work unless it's the same model), second to create USB recovery drive, and the third Advanced option, which will extract the BIOS
If your PC crashes when running that .exe, try on a VM or another PC
You'll get 2 .bin files, the correct one is 088C6.bin

Use this guide written by Vesko356
        https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...-file?t=121948
        and https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...flash?t=122195

        Code:
FfsParser::checkTeImageBase: TE image base is neither zero, nor original, nor adjusted, nor top-swapped
I get the same error on the clean BIOS extracted from HP, it's normal, even on a working BIOS

Try, clean BIOS extracted from HP website, serial/win key inserted

        HP Laptop 17-cp0003sf (9D5S2EA)

            ASUS TP500LA BIOS request/repair/merge?
            by jbonavita
Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
            Some issues
            A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

            Things I tried

1- Update / clear ME: Took the non working bios, made a backup, and did this: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...theory/trouble...

Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 (serial number: MP2BFZEF) bios request
            by Wahaz
            Hello,

I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
So I thought it was a Bios problem.
I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V....

HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec2523nd - Dimm2 slot disabled after corrupt bios repair? Advice requested.
            by Bloodhoundje
            Hi everyone,

I have been doing hardware repair as a hobby for some years now and recently decided to learn about repairing laptops as a fun challenge.

I managed to get my hands on a "HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec2523nd" notebook that only shows a white power LED and doesnt respond to anything.

After initial testing I concluded the bios seems to be corrupted since all voltages are normal and there are no shorts. HP has a feature for a bios restore from USB with winkey+B for this model. This did not work.

I have desoldered the bios chip (GigaDevice...

            [HELP] G712LWS BIOS capsule
            by TraJikar Mac
I need someone that can capsulate one of the bios files below, and i prefer the older bios version so i can flash it using CH341A tool into the bios chip.
The manufacturer BIOS files are bigger than the BIOSbackup1.bin files by 256KB and I don't know how to fix or recompile it.

You can see in this link a conversation between me and other people (Starting at page 10) who tried to help me (thanks to their efforts), but i still couldn't fix it and the laptop is considered as dead until now.

Also, I uploaded a backup file for the bios that I extracted by using CH341A...

Dell 9010 MT BIOS Update Always Fails
            by mikeybass
Hi, I hope some one has some advice for me. I searched the forums but didn't see anything relevant. I acquired two identical Dell 9010 Mid Tower computers from a business office upgrade (they were going to throw them out). Both of them have the same motherboard (00F82W). One of them works flawlessly. The other one had a corrupted BIOS. I tried flashing numerous main BIOS and EC files from the internet, but none of them worked. I decided to copy the main BIOS and EC from the working 9010 computer and successfully flashed the corrupted BIOS. This got the computer able to boot again and run norm...
