    require bios please , i have attached bios which i downloaded from hp support website , is it possilbe to extract bios and the ec from it

    i dont know how to do it , trying for the past 12 days but no joy

    would be appriciated

      HP consumer laptops are one of the easiest to get a clean BIOS from BIOS update

      Make a backup of the corrupted BIOS first and post it here, it's needed to extract serial number/product ID/feature byte/Win key, and in some models when the BIOS update has several files, to find the right BIOS version
      For the EC, please share the EC model (ITE, ENE, ....), someone will try to extract from main BIOS

      I'll attach the extracted BIOS from version F.08 (previous version) sp158840.exe

      Clean BIOS, no DMI, no Win key, I don't know the right offsets to insert that info (need original/corrupted BIOS backup for it)

          I have been doing hardware repair as a hobby for some years now and recently decided to learn about repairing laptops as a fun challenge.

          I managed to get my hands on a "HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec2523nd" notebook that only shows a white power LED and doesnt respond to anything.

          After initial testing I concluded the bios seems to be corrupted since all voltages are normal and there are no shorts. HP has a feature for a bios restore from USB with winkey+B for this model. This did not work.

          I have OriginPC EON 15SL, however, my laptop starts and shutsdown after 1-2 second.
