    Acer AL14-31P-C8KV BIOS Request

    Hello Badcaps Team,

    I am working on an Acer AL14-31P-C8KV laptop (S/N: NXKS8EA0013490A9C74500) with board number T140AN Rev 3.0A.

    I received this unit for repair, but I am uncertain if the current BIOS is correct. There are clear signs of previous work – I noticed flux residue around the BIOS chip, which suggests the BIOS may have been tampered with or reprogrammed before. Because of this, I am not confident that the backup BIN I have is the original dump or if it belongs to this exact machine.

    Could you please assist me with:
    • A clean BIOS BIN for this model, or
    • A new/repaired BIN cleaned from my dump (if possible).

    Attached is the backup. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

          Type and post the S/N Service Tag or SNID, full name and model, motherboard model, backup etc. Don`t post pictures of the serial number...

                  Attached is a virgin bios with the DMI from the backup at post #1 .Just change the serial number to your own using a hex editor. The S/N is NXKS8AL00234902E3F4500

                      hello badcaps team
                      i reprogrammed my acer using neo programmer with the above biin file
                      however i still have only power led and the fan spinning continuously
                      all voltages are ok
                      any ideas pliz or im still stuck with my bios issue??

                              Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

                              I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
                              So I thought it was a Bios problem.
                              I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V....

                              My pc updated bios through Windows Update and I was greeted with BLACK SCREEN WITH CPU FAN MAX SPEED. I don't think there is even a screen signal, because it triggers my monitor for a couple seconds and then the monitor turns off. I tried the other outputs as well.
                              1. I tried clearing bios, resetting bios, removed the CMOS battery, removed m.2 ssd, wifi, and ram. Still black screen with CPU fan blasting.
                              2. I tried using the Lenovo BIOS CD and BIOS USB, but neither worked. At least I couldn't get anything to work.
                              3. I could only locate two chips that look like bios chips. Could someone verify this

                              I had this laptop for years, came with windows 7, never bothered to check bios access until now, it is locked from the factory.

                              I need access to the bios to choose another boot devices to be able to update OS.

                              When trying to unlock the bios with 3 failed password attempts prompts a message with a 8 digit key (93415130) to unlock the password. Using the ones provided by biosbug does not work.
