I don`t know if it`s supposed to be 8 or 16MB but someone has been messing around with the DMI i think... see the pictures.

Edit: Feature byte should be 3K6b7K7P7WaBapaqasawbCbhcbdUdpdqfPm9n3n4.2N

This is first time for me to read this type of chip (on this laptop and even general , i used ezp2023+ with 1.8v adapter. What did you think, maybe programer does not reading properly.

Try this bios. Yours was corrupted in parts but i don`t think that was the reason for the DMI being like it was. Slow your programmer speed down to 6Mhz for reading and writing.

I know why you posted that bios. When we extract the latest bios version F.49 Rev.A from sp158904exe it extracts 087C9 and only that. But, that bios has TGP chipset support, Tiger Lake so it can`t be that bios as the laptop has a Celeron N4020

Specifications https://support.hp.com/gb-en/document/c07732402 The CPU is N4020 ,Gemini Lake refresh .

Bios version F.31 Rev.A can be extracted with AMIUCP, there are three 16MB AMI bios images and two Insyde bios images, one is 8MB the other 16MB. The Insyde 8MB image has Gemini Lake chipset support (GLK) the other 16MB image is Jasper Lake

Why the hell HP can`t just post a single bios on their support page per model number is beyond me. F18 is for AMD machines

Something is definitely wrong with my programmer. The 8MB file you sent throws an error during writing, and when I tried to restore the original dump, it gives the same error. I'll try using my friend's programmer — he has a better one, so it's possible that it will recognize it as 16MB on his.

its an 8MB chip and should be recognised as so. If there are any errors with your friends programmer replace the chip.
