    Greetings all,

I have a laptop that no longer functions after a possible bad windows update - after update it no longer turned on. Laptop has 12.3v running, bios chip has 3.3v running - just doesn't power up nor does power button work. Screen stays black. Posting full rom with ME & BIOS region.

    BOARD CODE: LC56-14T
    Lenovo Model: 82HS000WUS

Serial should be in the bios. The dump is from the bad file.

      Either way it is: R9107Q9K

        You MUST:
        • Read BIOS guides, methods, resources and tools
        • Try the method at BIOS guides, methods, resources and tools before requesting help
        • Explain you were not able to succeed with the methods at BIOS guides, methods, resources and tools
        • Use search function in case someone already answered your request
        • Post under a related thread if it exists
        • Provide the full machine model number, serial number (or Service tag, SNID) and the board model number (see https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=88758 ) ,The serial number, make, full model number, motherboard model and revision (except QR codes) must be written/typed at your request as per the rules. Not as a picture, part of the file name and so on.
        • Name your thread with make, full model numbers and request
        • Provide a BIOS/EC dump if possible
        • Attach files directly to your post instead of linking to external websites
        • Post what the problem is, be specific - black screen, no boot, running slow, password. Do NOT post "clean me", "clear bios", "clean bios", "fix bios", "bios need" or other such term

I have read the guides, know how to work the tools! I'm currently flashing a new file for which i replaced the BIOS region with the official Lenovo bios FXCN49WW region file, then replaced the non-empty padding. Let's see if it works....

          The serial again is R9107Q9K

It will never work if you replace only ME Region, you also have to do a clean_ME. Try this one.
Next time read more carefully the rules of this forum, serial no. is mandatory to identify your machine and to extract right files from updates. Also, before opening a new thread use "Search" function of this forum to see if there is already a thread for your machine ... all of this are in forum rules you pretend to read ...

lenovo flex 5 14ITL05 bios and motherboard fault
              by claws77
my laptop is lenovo flex 5 14ITL05

recently my power supply for this laptop developed a fault.
which caused a short in my usb c port -- verified with a new charger.

rant: so, i went to the repair tech in my country, he asked for a huge repair cost when i decided to get it done someplace else this "great person" nicked my bios chip, asked me to be aware for repair scams lol.
I was stupid and unable to find the flaw at the moment. Another repair tech told me that my bios chip was stolen and an 8mb bios chip is in place of that. he told me that a 32...

Summary of BIOS Whitelist Removal Problem

              Problem:
I am attempting to remove the WWAN card whitelist from my Lenovo ThinkPad T560.
              Initial Findings:
              • My current BIOS version is N1KET58W (1.45).
              • I have a CH341A programmer and have successfully created two full backups of my BIOS.
              • I have the ability to use command-line tools on a Linux machine.
              Troubleshooting Steps & Conclusions:
              • I attempted to use several automated and manual patching methods on my N1KET58W (1.45) BIOS, including using hex strings. These attempts all failed.
              • I concluded that the

Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 (serial number: MP2BFZEF) bios request
              by Wahaz
              Hello,

I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
So I thought it was a Bios problem.
I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V....

Lenovo Legion T5-26AMR5 Desktop - Corrupt BIOS
              by grimacelord
              Hello there.

I am working on a Lenovo Legion T5-26AMR5 desktop that currently has a corrupt BIOS and I have been unsuccessful thus far in trying to fix it myself.

              History:

              1. This computer came to me initially with an error message that said "BiInitializeLibrary failed 0xc0000001" or "0135 fan error". It would always be one of the two errors. It should be noted that when it produced the fan error, there was no physical problem with the fans. They were all spinning just fine.

I searched for this error online and discovered...
