    LA-L051P Changing ME Region

    Hallo,

I've replaced Intel CPU SRKH5 with burned PCH on the LA-L051P with SRKH4 (i7-11370H to i7-11375H) and now I see that this was the easy part.

Now I need to replace ME Region using this from the donor board - 15.0.47.2473 and need help from smarter people than me.

The only ME in version 15.0.47.2473 I've found has 3,125,248 byes, which is strange size.

Using HxD and selecting 465000, selection ends in the middle of code to check the size of extracted ME. It doesn't seem to be right.

I couldn't find Intel Flash Image Tool in version 15.0.10.1469.
Can I use another 15.0.xx, or it has to be exactly the same as ME Analyzer shown?

Could you please tell me if I'm doing something wrong and where to find FITool in correct version?

    Thank you in advance!

I see now that I should post this in the 'BIOS Requests ONLY!'
Is there a way to move it?

Moved to bios requests. Please read the rules https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...before-posting and type as text the laptop serial number, and the full laptop model number

Thanks volinakis! With this BIOS motherboard behaves differently. Reacts on PW_ON and goes on 0.065A, stays 10 seconds on and then turns off. I see under thermal camera PCS is getting a little temp but CPU is staying cold.

In the meantime I've studied more and found program UEFITool NE alpha 67 which is showing different information about ME Region than MEAnalyzer. Using this information I've copied ME from the donor board bios to my BIOS. Now current after powering MB on goes to 0.900A for 3 seconds and powers off... Both PCH and CPU are getting hot.

nope, is not working transferring ME_Region from a bios to another, you have to use Intel Flash Image Tool to replace ME Region
