Asus Laptop G14
Motherboard model: GA401IH
Rev 1.1
Motherboard Part Number: 60NR0480-MB1203
Serial Number: L731NRKD0006K1MB
The computer shut down during a bios update and went into a boot loop. I've been able to backup the bios and flash a new bios (from the asus website, the ez flash update) using a SPI programmer. I got it to the point where it'll stay on for a few minutes before restarting and going into a boot loop that gets shorter and shorter.
I've been able to factory reset it, but once I unlock the laptop and get to the desktop screen - the bootloop kicks in. I've had this issue before and took it to a shop where they rebuilt the bios and flashed it- worked great.
I tried to write my own bios, but I can't find where to put the serial number in and I can't get my winkey (my backup of the original bios doesn't have the winkey and I don't see where the serial is at all) or figure out where to put any information honestly. I downloaded some bios from this forum and from asus to compare and contrast, but nothing lines up for this model. I had some luck seeing where it would go on the G401A IV models, but not this.
I have another post where I'm asking for the same thing, but with a G401A IV board, I didn't realize the repair shop had replaced my board with a different model until today.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
