I hope this will help you somehow before I give up on this laptop and just say that IT's better to buy a new one than deal with it.
As much as I work on it I found that the autopatcher won't work on it, cause the autopatcher patches BIOS which stores the password in this same chip as BIOS is stored on, and on Lenovo Thinkpad L412 the password is stored in separated chip. I managed to get rid of the password with shortening PINs 4-5 on the chip storing the password while BIOS is turning on which looks like restores default options for the BIOS reading of the chip, It should be on the side of the motherboard where you have keyboard you can recognize it by it pins cause they are wider than any other chip's pin on the board additionally my had 08 number on it found some random PDF saying that it's probably storing the password and other stuff, but here I'm when I have done that I can't no more turn off the Laptop with out holding the power button for 10 sec so It looks like something messed up in BIOS or the chip after all, so the laptop is usable, but not perfect so now I'm trying to update BIOS and see if it works. While looking for BIOS update I might have found safer option which is on lenovo's support site if you search for L412 you find a tool which looks like is able to get data from that chip and you might be able to the cypher the password or Idk flash it and see what happens the chip stores some other data than password to supervisor as well so that's a problem with it but I saw that lenovo's BIOS updater can do something to the serial number too. And I used it to update the bios which bricked the Laptop xD so now I'm here to take this BIOS and try to flash it I have a back up of orginal BIOS, but If I can try with a newer version I will try.Comment

Problem:
I am attempting to remove the WWAN card whitelist from my Lenovo ThinkPad T560.
Initial Findings:- My current BIOS version is N1KET58W (1.45).
- I have a CH341A programmer and have successfully created two full backups of my BIOS.
- I have the ability to use command-line tools on a Linux machine.
- I attempted to use several automated and manual patching methods on my N1KET58W (1.45) BIOS, including using hex strings. These attempts all failed.

I am attempting a repair on a Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 11e that is currently stuck at boot with the error: "0275 error CMS" even after setup new bios battery and will not allow me to enter the BIOS/Setup.

Hi all! I was reading on tutorials how to flash a bios to remove password from a bios, and I ended up reading the EC chip instead of the main bios chip, it only gave me a .bin file of 1,024kb, I learned later that that is the EC chip not the main bios chip (I should have read the tutorials here instead before attempting anything, my bad), I went to flash the original backup, the 1,024kb size file into the same chip and laptop is not powering up anymore. Hi!
Went dumpster-diving and found a bricked Lenovo P14S in trash, few weeks earlier. Symptoms - no screen, no POST, no beep, just keyboard LEDs flashing on powerup. Mute button+LED was responding though, and the display self-test was still working (via the key combo Ctrl+Fn+Power held for some seconds, see the Service manual).
