    Asus Notebook GA401I, GA401 IV-BR9N6 bios needed

Hello! After an automatic windows update - it went through a bios update that has put my laptop into a boot loop that gets shorter and shorter until it just powers on and off. I can make it almost to the login screen and I tried to start the factory reset, but it just keeps entering the bootloop.

It completely bricked at some point, so I pull the bios, but I couldn't get the DMI and windows key information to build a new one (I tried one of the guides and I can't find it), I ended up just flashing it with the ezupdate file from the asus website using a ch3a1a SPI programmer (also read the bios with this) and it actually got it out of the bricked state, but back to the progressively shorter boot loop.

I think if someone could build a working bios for me, that would solve the issue and I would be eternally thankful! I'm so tired of working on this thing.

Some other notes: I had a local shop fix it before from this same problem, but the hdmi port wasn't working after they flashed it, so I let it update to the newest bios version (220) and here we are.

try. It seems you are using wrong bios update, from GA401IH platform.

I flashed this one and it's the same thing, it'll act normal for about a minute and then go into a boot loop, each boot getting shorter and shorter until it's just a black screen but "on"

ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo UX8402ZA BIOS
        by pirati
        Hello everyone,

I recently bought a non-working Asus Zenbook Pro Duo OLED UX8402ZA that was listed for parts only. The seller mentioned that it had no display output but that the charging lights worked.

When the laptop arrived (without a charger and SSD), I connected a charger and confirmed with a multimeter that it was charging the battery. However, when I tried to power it on, only the backlight of the secondary display came on. There was no image, and it didn’t boot into the BIOS.

I decided to try flashing a new BIOS, but since I didn’t want to desolder...

Asus K75V (K75VJ) Bios flash undo help needed
        by NielsTH
        Hi forum members.
I hope you can help me with the next issue.
I've got an old Asus K75V (K75VJ) laptop, that I updated to Windows11.
The upgrade itself was succesfull, but had trouble installing new security updates.
After a lot of Windows troubleshooting and no success, I took a look at the Asus support site and found new Bios version.
        K75VJ - Support
When downloading the bios update, the name of the download was "K45VMAS233", and made me causious and doubtful.
When I opened the Bios and loaded the file, I checked the current version and the...

ASUS TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI - BIOS Help
        by grimacelord
        Hello,

I have spent the last hour on this and I guess this is just over my head, so here I am.

I have an ASUS TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI motherboard here that needs to have the BIOS updated in order to accept the latest CPUs.

The BIOS chips seem to come as a set of two: GD25B64ESIG and GD25B128ESIG. My guess is one of them is a fail-safe for the main BIOS? I really don't know. Or one of them is ME and other is BIOS? I don't know.

Anyway, I took dumps of both chips and then downloaded the latest update for this motherboard from ASUS's website...

ASUS ROG Strix B660-I Gaming WiFi – BIOS dump vs ASUS CAP size mismatch, need corruption check, please.
        by ronaldopdias
I’m troubleshooting an ASUS ROG Strix B660-I Gaming WiFi motherboard and I’m a bit stuck at the BIOS level. What I’ve tried so far
        • Attempted to flash the BIOS using the USB BIOS FlashBack (Q-Flash) port with a properly formatted FAT32 USB drive.
        • BIOS file downloaded directly from the official ASUS support page.
        • Followed the exact FlashBack procedure (correct port, renamed file, standby power only).

        Issue:
The FlashBack LED does not blink at all — no activity whatsoever. Further investigation

        Because FlashBack didn’t work, I:

        ASUS TP500LA BIOS request/repair/merge?
        by jbonavita
Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
        Some issues
        A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

        Things I tried

1- Update / clear ME: Took the non working bios, made a backup, and did this: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...theory/trouble...
