HI
I have the same motherboard in a different lenovo16iru8 with bios password. I have tried to write the two bios chip with the file from above and they worked perfectly. May I ask someone to remove the password from the original files.?
sn; PF4KDMMK
Many thanks
And 2 further question:
1, I have a very similar Lenovo/15amn7/ with 1 bios and one ene chip and off course with "system password". If I have no socket to program the EC chip then I have no chance to remove the password?
2, If a Lenovo has a onboard memory there is a tool which disables them if they are faulty, Is there any tool for disabling onboard hard disk. If I just remove it then it pops up in the device manager with yellow triangle.
thanks

Thanks, I have tried it. So the bigger file is double sized as it should be. 32mb instead of 16. Looks like to me the second half is a copy of the first half. I have tried to half the file and I write the half of it onto the chip, but it is not working. Flashing 11 long then switches off. Could you half the file for me?
ThanksComment

the bios from post #12 is virgin, use the HxD program (it's free on the internet), enter both bios into the program (your laptop and the virgin one),
select that interval mentioned in both bios, copy the interval in your bios and pass it to the virgin bios (copy - paste)....and that's it...Due to a lack of donations, server free space at a critical level, and possible closure of Bios Requests all donations are welcome, click:

by Forest79Hello,
I got a Lenovo ThinkStation P520 (Type 30BF) from a friend, asking me for a repair. Windows 11 offered a firmware upgrade as an optional update, and it failed.
The emergency flash procedure from the hardware manual has also failed. So, I asked an acquaintance with better skills to flash the BIOS directly.
However, the chip (a Macronix MX25L25673GMI-08G) has a size of 32 MB, and the BIOS file from the Lenovo website (extracted with UEFITool) has a little more than 16 MB. Thus, the software my acquaintance used (SiberiaProg v1.45, with a CH341A Programmer)...-

I'm trying to extract a flashable bios file(ch341a) from the lenovo bios executable download. I have tried the instructions from this site https://starkeblog.com/lenovo/uefi/2...pdate-exe.html, which are not working. According to those instructions, after issuing the commandCode:
"innoextract 7wcn38ww.exe"
The trouble I'm having is that I'm not getting the newly...-

by maanee11Hello Everyone,
I have Thinkpad T560 Which has corrupted BIOS. I have acquired Ch341A SPI flasher to program the BIOS externally. I see that to program the BIOS, i need a bin file for the BIOS. I was able to extract the .exe file of BIOS from Lenovo given here in this link:
https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/au/en/p...me=BIOS%2FUEFI
In the extracted files, I see that BIOS containing file has extension .FL1 and I need to extract or convert it...-

I'm working on a Lenovo LOQ 15APH8, Serial# MP2L9MAV. I want to flash a new BIOS onto it, but I'm also trying to learn this process for my own enrichment and professional development.
I was watching some tutorials, copying the serial info blocks from the old bios to a new bios. Before that though, they use innoextract on the Lenovo .exe. I downloaded Innoextract v1.9 but it tells me my .exe is not a supported inno setup installer(see screenshot). So if I unpack this using 7zip, I do get a .ROM file, but according to my tutorials, I'm looking for a .FD file.

I was having issues with this particular laptop where the NVME SSD would disappear and would not detect unless I took it out and reconnected it, then it would detect for only for a minute then disappear from BIOS. I figured updating the BIOS was worth a try so I booted into my HBCD USB and downloaded the latest BIOS file for that exact model. I ran the executable and everything went smooth, it beeped and then when it restarted, now it won't post, just black screen with fan spinning.
I already have a CH341A programmer...-
