Laptop not booting after reading/fashing bios chip

    Hello

I had a laptop working (booting ok) but it was bios password lock.
I have dumped a bios chip GD25LB64C, modified the bin and injected back. (I have made the mistake to not unselect "OTP secu R" on read & flash).

Computer power led was lighting up but no screen at all (no logo or else), then computer led stop a few min later.

I tried to flash back the original unmodified dump, but same problem.... Computer doesn"t start.

Now i have an error on verify process (I try different thing (even erase the chip before)

    Pins Detected Passed!

    ID ......OK!

    Erase ...Succeeded. Time : 9.265 S

    Data Protect Disable...OK!

Programming FLASH ...Succeeded. Time : 29468ms

Verifying FLASH ...Succeeded. Time : 3968ms

Programming STATUS REG ...Succeeded. Time : 0ms

    Verifying STATUS REG ...

STATUS REG ERROR at: 0001 Buffer Value :0x02 --- IC Value : 0x3A

    Verifying Succeeded. Time : 265ms

    Programming ...Failed

    Any ideas? thanks

      Hi

thanks for the information, i know it, i didn't provide it because i though it was not relevant as it's just a problem of reading/writting a chip.

I didn't want to give useless informations as i have the program i want to send, but i don't understand where i did a mistake that prevent from booting?

      Brand: unowhy
      Serial: IFP129034378
      Model Y13G011S5EI

I have managed to remove the error by "unclicking" default activate " Programming Status register."

But laptop is still not booting even with the original file...

I have another laptop (the same) that boot, maybe i can take another dump to send to the non working one? but what option to select to be sure to get things right?

        thanks
