Have you flashing it with an external programmer?
If not, try it this way.

Re: Lenovo t510i bad bios flash

Yeah thats what I am doing I dont rely on these Crisis way using floppy or usb key. I removed it from the board, the problem is there are 3 files in the Lenovo bios package 1 compressed (1mb ish) and 2 uncompressed usually named xxxxx.FL1, xxxxxxx.fl2 and slightly different number to other 2 also ending in .FL1 both files around 3mb, so I followed the instructions for decompressing the compressed one it then becomes 3mb and I have tried flashing all 3 without success.Camera led flashes, fan spins unit turns on it itself and then off again pauses for a a while then does it again. I know the unit worked as I recently serviced it. But it died during bios update a few months later. The schematic I have (wrong version one) shows 2 spi chips 1 bios other EC controller, problem is I can only find 1 IC the Spi1 chip no sign of the other one. I can only assume then there is no seperate Ec controller on this model and SPI1 is the correct EEprom.

in your case there is no other way than to find dumps for these two chips. what is the size of your bios (1mb 2mb 4mb or 8mb) ???? because 3mb is not a correct size.

              is yours I3 i5 or i7 lapy ????????

Re: Lenovo t510i bad bios flash

Its an i5 and also in the bios package there are 3 files 2 cannot be decompressed so Im assuming they are already decompressed these are 3mb the other 1 is 1mb and when decompressed using the utility (e_bcpvpw) it becomes 3mb. Its an unusual system they use. Yes you are right if I could get a dump of the bios and EC that would certainly do the job.
                Thanks for your input.

                              Hey guys,

Hope you all are doing well. I come here from Win-Raid because I am having issues disabling Flash Protection Range Registers so I can flash my BIOS from within Windows using Intel's IFW tool/using flashrom within Linux, however I cannot due to the above mentioned error.

Here is my thread on Win-Raid detailing the whole process I went through: https://winraid.level1techs.com/t/re...h-gen/95478/27

Essentially I managed to boot into Windows while shorting PINs 1+5 of my audio chip to disable the HAP bit...

                              Hello!

A few days ago I bricked my Lenovo x1 nano gen 1 while updating the bios/fw from linux.
No the machine power up, but it stuck in a recovery state and I can not do much.

I would like to flash a new BIOS/FW on the chip using a CH341a programmer but ... I actually don't know which "chip" on the motherboard to target 🤦‍♂️
So here I am to ask for help.

I opened the laptop and I found a chip that may be the target, on it I've:

                              Hello everyone,

                              First, the data in brief:
                              Manufacturer: Lenovo
                              Model: ThinkPad L15 G3 21C3-0016GE
                              motherboard: LG4 LT5 ADL RT UMA MB 8L - 448.0PZ26.0011
                              IC Bios 1: MX77L25650F
                              IC Bios 2: MX25L25673G
                              EC Chip: NPCX997KAABX

So far I've been a silent reader, but now I need your help

I bought a laptop. The seller said the bios was locked. I was looking for a way to remove this ban.
I then got the CH341A and pulled the corresponding files from here https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...evices-and-ele...
The laptop was brought in with a BIOS problem and a password. After reading the dump, the information was damaged. I ask for help in the BIOS with a clean ME region. Motherboard 213035-1. Serial number: PW+04e998, Type number: 21c3-0016ge

Hi. I have a Thinkpad W541 that i was trying to remove the Bios Supervisor Password using this guide. https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=87588 LENOVO BIOS AUTO-PATCHER for Supervisor Password Removal

I have the old bios backup but when i restored the original bios the laptop shutdowns after a few seconds and can´t load Windows.

                              - Using a CH134a + SOIC 8 Clip + Colibri 1.0.1.61 i backed up the original bios 3 times and verified all of them were the same.
