    cq 40 hang after bios write

    my cq 40 (313tu) had no display. so i did a bios write and it gave me display. but problem is, it get hang with windows logo. i think it happened with wrong bios writing.

    \please help.

    i think if it makes it to windows logo! it not bios! boot in safe mode or last know good configuration.

      if this what t.j. said fails, try reinstalling windows or even better try installing windows on another HDD so you dont have to archive your data. I have another HDD that is always empty for this cases. Its best to eliminte poor windows installation and bad HDD at the beginning.

        If you have a sound card installed, disable the onboard audio!

        You may have an IRQ conflict with the onboard audio.
