Just had a customer bring in a HP 14s-fq1010nm to do some maintenance.
After updating the BIOS to the latest (F.35) I get black screen (no backlight turning on). However the backlight turns on if I connect an external display to HDMI, but when booting to Windows, both displays remain black.
After disconnecting internal LCD, and plugging in external display via HDMI, it works on external.
I tried downgrading it using official method - using an USB drive with older BIOS version, but it fails, saying that the BIOS files are corrupted. I used about 5 different older BIOS versions... -
Hi, I hope some one has some advice for me. I searched the forums but didn't see anything relevant. I acquired two identical Dell 9010 Mid Tower computers from a business office upgrade (they were going to throw them out). Both of them have the same motherboard (00F82W). One of them works flawlessly. The other one had a corrupted BIOS. I tried flashing numerous main BIOS and EC files from the internet, but none of them worked. This is my first post in BADCAPS and I hope I don't make any mistakes and give the correct explanations.
Yesterday a friend brought me this laptop home to expand the RAM to 16GB of RAM and update it since it had been abandoned recently.
Everything was fine, until I made the mistake of updating the BIOS to version F.73 from version F.24, since after according to HP "updating correctly" the laptop never worked again, leaving the screen black but the fan is working and the light of M.2 is on.

To put you in context I recently replaced the battery from my HP Pavilion 15 bc400ns with a used one, everything was going good. The same day, I decided to update the BIOS, everything went good. The thing occurred after I let the battery drain iddling on Windows 11 for the second time to calibrate it that the screen did not turn on again, the computer was on but the screen did not turn, like it would not wake from hibernation. I decided to restart the computer but got no video.

I have a Lenovo Legion 5 15imh05a device that I bought used online. It came with a 20V 8.5A 170W charger.
The BIOS version is EFCN58WW.
When I turn on the device, it displays the message:
"The Connected AC adapter has a lower wattage than the recommended AC adapter..."
The device rarely charges the battery, and even when it does, it doesn't show that it's charging.
