Hi the history is the user has broken the hinges and screen but no damage visiblr to the LCD cable.
it was left for a couple of days and the battery discharged, after charging the screen backlight no longer worked.
Replaced the complete lid assy, guaranteed working backlight, stil the same problem on the EDP connector of the mobo the backlight enable line always stays low.
I assume it is BIOS error, i tried crissis recovery with ext screen and it completed ok but still the same problem.
I am asking if anyone has a good file dump or can create one with my info.
The TXT file is the current BIOS dump using a dataman programmer in bin format.
This is my 1st post so please be gentle and guide me where I have erred.

post merged..next time look for a thread with the name and model, motherboard model of the laptop, and post there, if you can't find it, then make a new thread..
Don't post pictures unless asked....No one wastes time enlarging pictures, turning them, or using a magnifying glass to see numbers or letters..
it makes our work easier, not yours..

post S/N, full name and model, motherboard model, product number,etc....write with the keyboard..
post the contents of the bios chip even if it is corrupted..
The bios chip must be unsoldered from the board before writing or reading..
do not use the clip, you may have errors..if you do not have anything to unsolder it with,
solder wires between the programmer and the bios chip..
Hi Peste
Thankyou for your response, I did browse the poster hints but obviously not good enough, some forums don't like appending onto other posters questions so I wrongly started my own.
The Laptop is an
HP 250 G8
Product No 2M3A1ES#ABU
SN CND13124J2
Mobo FPI50 LA-H329P Rev 2.0
The problem is no LCD backlight enable signal from the mobo the LCD old screen has broken hinges, it did illuminate but no longer does and the only thing that as far as I know was the battery fully discharged before I got it and after recharge the screen no longer illuminated.
I replaced the whole lid assy any way just incase the cable had been damaged with a known good screen assy, this also shows a picture on the screen but no LCD back light operation and again the back light enable signal on the EDP connector on the mobo remains low.
I have attached the BIOS file from the computer I have renamed the ext to TXT as the site says I can not upload .bin files.
