no luck the laptop still turns on fan spinning icheck all the voltage rails all present i think imight have a dead kbc chipComment

Hi, I tried this bin file to remove bios password and it works! However, touchpad is not working. Touchpad flex or board are not damaged.Comment

you should have two bios..one of 16MB and one of 8MB, The bios chip must be unsoldered from the board before writing or reading..
do not use the clip, you may have errors..if you do not have anything to unsolder it with, solder wires between the programmer and the bios chip..If you have found our forum useful please consider supporting us. I’m working on a Lenovo IdeaPad XiaoXin Chao7000-15ARR (Ryzen platform) and I need some help with BIOS reconstruction.
Unfortunately I only have the bare motherboard (no original chassis, no sticker, no working system).
The laptop came with black screen.
What I have:
- Original SPI dump read from the board (W25Q64DW 1.8V, 8MB)
- Official Lenovo BIOS update (.CAP file)
- Photos of the motherboard (front and back)
- Board powers on, but with original dump it stays black screen

So a couple of years ago i got a bios update through Lenovo Vantage, so i installed it and bricked my whole BIOS, so i couldn't fix it so i put that ideapad in a box, 3 years later i found that one PC and want to recover it to switch from a 2014 hp laptop to this one.
I found a method to recover the BIOS of many lenovo laptops tha consists in pluging in a USB Flash with the BIOS files and power on the laptop with Fn + R keys pressed until fans go loud and start beeping loud, but nothing worked, so i think filename is wrong, i tried naming the bios file as 07WW.BIN, BIOS.BIN, BIOS.fd,...10-11-2024, 03:12 PM -
Sorry for the long story. I have a Dell Latitude 5530 (i7) laptop (South Peak 15 MLK MB DDR4 203102-1 FK8VG$JA) with an admin BIOS password that I want to remove. Service Tag: HYKFPT3. Other than that the laptop worked OK.
I found a CH341A Black and went looking for the BIOS chip on the motherboard. After trying to read one chip that was a firmware chip but not the BIOS I think I found the BIOS chip labeled Winbond 25Q256JVEN. Altogether I think I found 4 different firmware chips in the laptop. The BIOS chip is a WSON8 6x8. I used the CH341A, NeoProgrammer, and a cheap pogo pin clip...
