I find it hard to believe that any of you have achieved this due to the lack of a propperly unlocked BIOS dup file that is 16MB.Leave a comment:

For anyone else in the same situation as me.
You gotta spam F1 when the Bad SVP data error pops up on shorting the EC pin. For me, pin no. 10 corresponding to LAD0 worked. It dosent matter if the screen is black just keep spamming once that error pops up. I had almost given up on this laptop until i found the legend Maxpower3's ECbypass guide on this forum:
https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubleshooting-hardware-devices-and-electronics-theory/troubleshooting-laptops-tablets-and-mobile-devices/bios-requests-only/3237235-lenovo-thinkpad-ec-pwd-bypass
I was finally able to bypass password by this method. Huge thanks to him and SMDFlea and all others that contributed on this forum. I am grateful.
Hope this helps others.Leave a comment:

Flashing multiple different bios filles from here either did not clear the password or just straight up bricked the bios entirely. Looking at the board schematics there is supposed to be an EEPROM in my board but there is no chip on the place where there is supposed to be an EEPROM on the physical board. Hence my next conclusion was that the password might be stored in the EC (in this case it is IT8886HE), which led me to master Maxpower3's EC bypass guide. I am a novice when it comes to this stuff. From this i was atleast able to recover my original bios file which lets me access the bios with limited features. I can now boot stuff as i used to. However the password still exists on the bios. I have tried shorting LAD0:3 pins (corresponding to pins 7-10 in my board) one by one dozens of times and i am not able to remove the password. The laptop just hangs as long as i keep shorting one of those pins. It is only after i release the pins when the setup continues as normal.
Am i missing something?
Any suggestion is highly appreciated

Did not fully check but i could previously boot windows from this laptop even if it was a locked bios. However now, it simply asks to go to setup mode where it asks for password. Oof. Would be a great help if anyone can at least turn the original file back in a usable state.Attached Filesif you find these attachements useful please consider making a small donation to the site

Hello,
I got a bios locked lenovo thinkpad yoga 11e 4th gen (model 20HS). I tried shorting the data and clock pins on the bios chip but that just ended up corrupting the bios as it wont post anymore. The bios is attached in the message. Can you guys help me potentially un-corrupt and unlock this bios file if possible? I am saying this because i have already exhausted my options trying out some of the bios files posted here for my board no. (DALI8KMB8DO: rev D) but they just wont post. Only the fans move.
PS cant seem to insert bios so i guess ill attach a link to a filesharing site hosting the file.

Hi
I am in the exact same situation as you
Same board no. had a locked password. Tried reflashing several bioses here. The only one that worked was the one which worked for you, only the fact that even that bios was locked. I got no clue where to proceed from here.Leave a comment:

by to5it0Need Clean BIOS/EC Bin File for Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 11e - Stuck with 0275 Error CMS
Hello everyone,
I am attempting a repair on a Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 11e that is currently stuck at boot with the error: "0275 error CMS" even after setup new bios battery and will not allow me to enter the BIOS/Setup.
This is a critical issue that I believe requires flashing the BIOS chip directly using a programmer (e.g., CH341A/RT809H), as standard software updates or resets are not possible.
I have opened the laptop and identified the main BIOS chip...2 Photos-

by maesonHi dear Badcaps-Community,
Somehow an auto update, which I triggered before I left my laptop unattended, bricked my BIOS.
I was able to extract the 2MB BIOS and 16MB BIOS which I will attend. (CH341B black with NeoProgrammer 2.2.0.10)
The Device is a Lenovo Yoga L13 Gen3 and I was able to identify the following specifications:
Lenovo Yoga L13 Gen 3 AMD:
Lenovo Modell: Type 21BB
Artikelnr.21BB006GGE
Seriennummer: PW0A6207
AMD Ryzen™ 5 PRO 5675U
Memory 16 GB DDR4-3200MHz
SSD: 512 GB SSD, M.2 2242, PCIe Gen4, TLC,...-

by DiddiAbRecently I used the official Lenovo bios updater software on my ThinkBook 13s G3 ACN (20YA0005GE). The updating process failed and I got a black screen after powering the device. Of course I did not make an own backup before using the Lenovo bios updater.
I bought a CH341A programmer and was able to make a connection to the chip while it is still soldered on board. But I did not realise that the chip was a 16MB size and selected the wrong size (8Mbit / 1 MByte) before reading the content of my chip. So the dump I did before erasing the chip is only 1MByte big. I fear that I lost...-

by WahazHello,
I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
So I thought it was a Bios problem.
I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V....-

by beogeekI've currently got a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 14APU8 that is not posting. Its fan spins, the keyboard lights up, and the caps lock doesn't work. It was taken to some shop for cleaning, and then they updated or tried to update the bios. After that, there was no display and no post. I've removed the bios ic from the board and made a bios dump. I need some assistance going forward, as I suspect this is probably just a bad bios issue. I've tried searching for a dump, but no luck; if anyone can throw me a bone, it would be much appreciated!
Attached is the bios dump in the state I received it...-
