    [Help]Reading EC - T14 G1 AMD with RT809h

    Hello everyone!
I try to read the EC ITE/IT8300FN where the bios password is stored.
The laptop is Lenovo T14 G1 AMD Ryzen 4650U, the MB is NM-C801.

I can't read the chip with RT809H with ITE board and PFC cable. Might be I need to do something more to enable programing mode(SPI Enable?).
I saw the post in another forum for T14s AMD (different MB but same EC configuration and pinouts) and one user successfully read and write the the same chip with SVOD3.

    Some details what i did:
Battery and CMOS battery is unplugged.
I click Read and then reconnect the battery charger(type c) with different timings to plug in/click on read button.
I try to click power button, but didn't help.
Traced all pins from MB connector to programmer connector and its fine.
    Double checked diagram pins KSO/KSI.

    EC ITE model:

    Datasheet for pinouts:

Config in RT809h, first pin on MB connector is no aligned as first pin on programmer so I checked "Change seq":

    What errors throw:

    How I connect(here is 32pins FPC with 8pins cut=24pins):

This one is picture of EC, from user in this forum:

    Any help is welcome, thanks!

Did I need to use "EC_Mute" with 100k R to enable 'SPI Mode' or something like that? I don't understand, the RT809h can't read it or i just do it wrong, if someone have an idea for that..

    More detailed pictures of EC:

    Datasheet for ITE / IT8512E, I can't find for 8300:

      Hi,
I am on the same boat with you, did you find anything to read directly with RT809H and if not, did you tried to desolder that chip and program directly like we desolder the other Winbond BIOS chips and insert directly onto RT809H programmer, then returning it back after programming?

P.S. I have the same chips here on a Thinkpad t14 Gen1 MB

AFAIK, IT8300FN is not programmable. The other ITE(BGA) is programmable.

So, where is the password stored then, on the other chip? Do you have datasheet of the other chip with pinouts?

I need to try the method here shared by RT809H developers on youtube

            Code:

Hi, I´m trying to program the IT8227E with a RT809H programmer on a Lenovo board NM-B931.
I´ve set up the lines according to the schematics and connection is made with a 24pin flat-cable. (see pictures).

Unfortunately I get a error message when I try to read this chip. I´m curious if this chip is really not programmable via the keyboard connector. If I measure with my multimeter I get a connection between the EC and the pins on the KB-connector/switchboard...

              Can anybody help?
