Yes thats the right bios update.It needs extracting from the zip first, then use UEFITool to extract the body, then open the update with a hex editor,it is only a 7MB update so it needs editing to the right size. Then make a copy of your backup and open the copy and the 7MB update with your hex editor, merge/copy the 7MB over the last 7MB of your backup copy, then copy the DMI from your backup to the backup copy.Finally you clean the ME firmware then its ready to flash. The EC region is at the start of the 7MB update, if the EC file size is 128KB select 0-1FFFF as the off-set ,copy and paste into a new file,then save it.
If you can`t do that wait for someone to help .

Hello to all of you! I need help with a BIOS file.
The BIOS chip is fried on my Asus F542UN laptop, and I bought a new chip that needs programming. I have a CH341a programmer but I need a .bin BIOS file. On Asus support page the firmware has another extension, .310 and from reading on this forum I understand that that file is not complete BIOS.
So, in short I need the "complete" BIOS .bin file to flash on the new chip. Another issue is that on back of the case the label says F542UN but on the sticker on the motherboard it's X542UN. -
Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
Some issues
A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized
Things I tried
