Thank you so much for these files, used these to "remove" password from a 440 G8. Used BCU to save original DMI info, and put it back after flashing. Do you have the files for the device in this post as well? I'm trying to learn how to do this myself, but having difficulties acquiring (or in case of HP, creating) clean BIOSes. Info seems sparse.

Hi all, I need help with bios for HP Probook 440 G8. Laptop is a test/evaluation machine, so serial will not be found in HP site or partsurfer. Problem with it: at start it has warnings about bios and endpoint controller not being for production use, and is not fully configured (is in MPM mode and missing DMI). I did try to rebuild it but no luck, FIT 15.0 gives me errors like "fail to validate key manifest" failed to build. Any help will be much appreciated, thank you. it has discrete graphics GPU.

hoaca388, rex98 - I don't need to recover DMI, I need a working bios and EC for this motherboard without displaying warnings that are not for production use.

"fail to validate key manifest" . It uses a different key to sign the firmware for Pre-production machines. Cleaning the ME firmware with production firmware won`t work. You would have to replace the PCH from a donor board.

                                          by studdy05
Hp Probook 450 G7 s# SCD0348W35 had a locked BIOS. Bought BIOS and EC chips off Ebay that were supposed to match this machine - the 450 G7. Flashed in the BIOS on chip i bought using a CH341. BIOS unlocked next boot. Some error to contact HP. Entered BIOS and reset to system defaults and rebooted. Machine worked fine but every cold boot the contact HP message popped and everything else worked as fine. Assumed the error was from EC chip not matching BIOS that i just flashed in. So i flashed in the EC that was supposed to match from the EBay chip i bought and instant brick.

                                          Ive got...

                                          HP ProBook 630 G8 T72 / 87EA BIOS Request
                                          by riallio
                                          Hi Guys

I need help repairing/rebuilding the BIOS for an HP ProBook 630 G8 with no display.

I have read the BIOS chip twice using a CH341A and a WSON8 probe. Both reads match exactly, so I believe the dump is reliable.

Machine details found from my original BIOS dump:

Model: HP ProBook 630 G8 Notebook PC
                                          Platform: T72
                                          Current BIOS: T72 Ver. 01.12.00
                                          System board ID: 87EA
                                          KBC Version: 33.22.00
                                          CPU: Intel Core i5-1145G7
                                          BIOS chip: Macronix MX25L25673GZ4I-08G
                                          Chip size: 32MB / 33,554,432 bytes

                                          Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
                                          🧩 Initial Issue
                                          • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
                                          • External display (HDMI) shows
                                          ...

[Problem/ Request] Bricked TongFang GK7MRFR BIOS
                                          by cr4zychriss
                                          Hello everyone,
I am requesting urgent assistance to unbrick my laptop, a rebranded TongFang GK7MRFR chassis. The laptop is completely dead following a faulty in-OS EC flash attempt.
I have successfully used a CH341A programmer and can read/write/verify both flash chips, but using my backups/extractions has failed to restore power. The root cause is likely a corrupted Intel Management Engine (ME) region or an incompatible EC/BIOS pairing. System & Hardware Details

Dell Latitude 5530 BIOS Password Removal Attempted but I Broke the Laptop
                                          by TopPop
Sorry for the long story. I have a Dell Latitude 5530 (i7) laptop (South Peak 15 MLK MB DDR4 203102-1 FK8VG$JA) with an admin BIOS password that I want to remove. Service Tag: HYKFPT3. Other than that the laptop worked OK.

I found a CH341A Black and went looking for the BIOS chip on the motherboard. After trying to read one chip that was a firmware chip but not the BIOS I think I found the BIOS chip labeled Winbond 25Q256JVEN. Altogether I think I found 4 different firmware chips in the laptop. The BIOS chip is a WSON8 6x8. I used the CH341A, NeoProgrammer, and a cheap pogo pin clip...
