I need to buy a new connector like this one. It is for a FAN of a laptop but I don't know the name of it.
Anybody does?
The manufacturers name is on top, ACES .If there`s a schematic or boardview available for the motherboard it might have the actual part number ,such as ACES 123456A ,but it might not be available to buy as a single part only in bulk.Do you have any donor boards that you can scavenge from.
What is the motherboard part number ?
.
I found this connector on multiple boards but I couldn't get it off without breaking. Ill try to see if I can find one where I can find a schematic for
Apply some flux on pins of the connector and then put some solder on it. Use a sharp object like blade and while holding the soldering iron onto GND point, try to push the blade inside. This way you'll be able to disconnect the two corner points one by one. Then proceed in same way for other pins. Dont force too much ,else you'll damage the pcb footprint. Otherway round is to apply heat on the other side of the fan connector and wait till it gives way.
