Resistance with PD1 installed is ok. There is no short condition with PD1 installed. Sometimes, when a transient occurs, devices like PD1 and PD2 will get killed to prevent further damage downstream on the signal pins. This event causes a short circuit condition on the same signal line.
It appears that you may have a broken trace from the pull-up resistor which is showing 3v3 on the signal trace but this same voltage does not appear at the SMBUS DATA pin on the battery connector.
Review that one side of the R182 is connected directly to +3v3. That is NOT the side of interest. It is the other side of R182 we need to mate with the pin #3 of the battery connector or even at PD1 since they are all supposed to be on the same trace.
Let me review that this is correct and then will suggest to use a piece of wire to bridge what may be a broken trace between the 2 points of interest.Comment

Also, check the voltage @ PR13 = MBDATA. This resistor should also be @ 3v3 (same voltage as on R182).

See attached. PR13 is the large PCB pad that is acting like a jumper. This is MBDATA signal that travels also to the battery connector, pin # 3.
Remove all power. Check the resistance from this large PCB pad to pin #3 on the battery connector. What is the resistance ?
Next, repeat but from this pad to pin #8 on the nearby charger IC ('BQ' part).

Perhaps - place one meter probe there and the other onto pin # 8 of the charger IC to confirm. This is important to probe and check the proper pad / pins. No power during these tests. If the pad is truly correct, the resistance to the BQ charger IC should be 0 ohms.
Then check again to the battery connector, pin # 3.
Just attached a location for pin #8 on the BQ chip.
Each side of this QFN (quad flat pack package) has 5 pins, so locate the 8th pin as per attachment.Attached Filesif you find these attachements useful please consider making a small donation to the site

Ok. One more check - the resistance that you are measuring must be the 330 ohms resistor @ PR1. Double-check as per attachment.

Also, if you see a voltage on BOTH sides of R182 then this voltage has to appear at PR13 pad = pin # 8 on the charger IC = pin # 3 on the battery connector.

Not sure which side to measure of PD1 to pin 3 but on one side i get 0.328Kilo Ohms and on the other side of it i get 0.257 Mega ohms.
Did you mean 0.320 kohms = 320 ohms ? That is ok due to resistor PR1 (330 ohms). Can you confirm this again ? Definitely 0.330 Mega OhmsComment

I have an RC radio handset(Taranis QX7) which doesn't have internal battery charger which means I had to remove the battery every time I needed to charge it.
So to improve it, I added a 15W USB-C charger board(link) inside and soldered it to the same connector on the PCB where the battery plugs into, great, now I can simply charge it with a USB-C cable.
but the problem I found is that after the radio sat for two weeks without being used the 2S 18650 battery that I'm using was at 4.2V!
So the battery is backfeeding the charger and being drained.

My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?
Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

The Bauer power tool battery charger just has to many issues with the charger over heating because I several HERCULES Hercules battery chargers that are 3 amp charge and because they have gone on quite a few times over the years before they came out with the fan cooling battery charger I going to modify one so I can charge Bauer battery packs faster than the crape battery charger that they have
