    Macbook Pro 2019 black bars

    Hey everyone,

Had someone contacting us about a macbook pro from 2019 showing black bars on the screen. I'll add a picture of the screen. He assumes a problem with the GPU, but I haven't come across a problem like this with the 2019 model myself.

    Thanx in advance!

Are these lines present immediately upon booting or after a period of time and logic board is heating up?

I think its a screen problem..Try external screen first

I have had customer spray cleaner directly on screen surface ....it runs down and migrates behind glass bezel . Corrodes the screen surface printed electronic connections.

you will see it if you remove bezel.

Black bars are there at all times, from the second it boots till shut down. On an external screen there are no black bars.

Client also mentioned something about the screen freezing from time to time.

seems like a screen issue then.

Cool, thanx. Just verifying that I don't say something stupid.

MacBook Air A1932 2019 display remains black after reopening the lid
                by MicroSMD Lab
Hi, I'm bumping this topic because I have a similar situation but the one I'm working on, the display remains black after reopening the lid. If I disconnect the battery and boot with the charger everything works until I close the lid. If I shut down with the lid open and press the power button everything works. It came in for liquid damage with a burnt audio board. I think the hall sensor in the right speaker is faulty, but I didn't do any tests yet. I'm interested in having the sleep function work with one sensor until I get the replacement speaker (assuming the speaker hall sensor is defective....

                820-01521-A (MacBook Air A1932 2019) stuck on 5V
                by mferna14
Hi all dear friend., today I am working on 820-01521-A logic board (MacBook Air A1932 2019) stuck on 5V .19 milliamps. The history of this logic board was liquid spill on major components. First gave a good cleanup & both CD3215C00Z were getting very hot, so I replaced both. Now on the 12V coil, there is only 5v present & 3.3V is perfect. In some area like PPVIN_G3H_P3V3G3HRTC , PPBUS_G3H_TPAD etc., 12V is perfect. On the 5v coil .2 volts only. I checked the enable signal on the regulator chip, enable is NOT present. The logic board is very clean, I do not see any signs of spill anymore....

MacBook Pro 16" 2019 NAND Swap
                by Karmet
I couldn't find a post related to this, so if it exists please point me in that direction.

I have a 2019 MacBook Pro 16" 1TB with a dead embedded NAND. I've seen some information about how it is possible to swap NANDS from certain boards, but it has to be a matching set.

I have a MacBook Pro 2017 logic board 820-00923-A 1TB on hand that is new in the box. It should be possible to match up the NAND 0, 1, 2, 3 chips and transplant them onto this 2019 board... in theory. Has anyone approached this, or has success in doing this?

MacBook Pro 2018 with Activation Lock
                by envym
                Hi everyone!

I have a 2018 MacBook Pro (with Sequoia OS) that I've been using for years with no problem. I recently received an M2 MacBook Pro so I'm mostly using it and not the 2018 one, but since a friend of mine needs a computer, I thought I could restore my 2018 and give it brand-new-like to my friend.

I tried using the built-in tool to restore the MacBook (Settings > General > Transfer or restore > Delete) but it got stuck when trying to remove the Find Device configuration (it asked me for the password for my old Apple ID -now I use the same account but...
