    820-01521-A (MacBook Air A1932 2019) stuck on 5V

Hi all dear friend., today I am working on 820-01521-A logic board (MacBook Air A1932 2019) stuck on 5V .19 milliamps. The history of this logic board was liquid spill on major components. First gave a good cleanup & both CD3215C00Z were getting very hot, so I replaced both. Now on the 12V coil, there is only 5v present & 3.3V is perfect. In some area like PPVIN_G3H_P3V3G3HRTC , PPBUS_G3H_TPAD etc., 12V is perfect. On the 5v coil .2 volts only. I checked the enable signal on the regulator chip, enable is NOT present. The logic board is very clean, I do not see any signs of spill anymore. I checked ohms reading on the 5v coil it just fluctuates between 120K & so on, not a short. Some repair tips will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Power delivery is not at 20v so cd3215s must be reviewed. Test each LDO rail on the cd3215s.

      Apple MacBook Pro 16-Inch 2019 - A2141 - stuck at 5V
      by martyjelen
Hello, I have this Macbook A2141. It stuck at 5V / 0,075A. I measured all 4 ports, all the same. PPBUS_G3H is present but only 12,3V. Should be 12,6V ? according to this article : https://repair.wiki/w/MacBook_Pro_A2...w_at_5V_repair

      PP3v3_G3H_RTC_X is present - 3,3V

      PP3v3_G3H_SOCPMU is present - 3,3V

      What else should I check?

      Thank you for your help.

      Ok, here's an issue ive got on a A2141 820-01700 MBP 16' 2019. No signs of life, 5.06v 0.0a on usb-c meter, on each 4 usb-c ports.

      Nand voltages are missing.

I've found no shorts at all so far, no signs of heat via thermal camera either.

      Macbook Air 2019 A1932 / 820-01521-A No power
      by Bogbog
      Hello,

      I recently acquired a faulty Macbook Air 2019 A1932 with mainboard 820-01521-A.

Seller claimed that device just stopped working suddenly.

Device does not boot or give any signal of life other than the white led on mainboard.
Using cheap multimeter and microscope I went trough list of semi-random diagnostic steps:

      Voltage measurements

Charger in USBC-B (closer to display) everything disconnected.

      PP20V_USBC_XB_VBUS 20.7v
      PP3V3_UPC_XB_LDO 3.25v
      PP1V8_UPC_XB_LDOA 1.81V
      PP1V8_UPC_XB_LDOD 1.80V...

      Macbook Pro A1932 (820-01521-A) Stuck at 4.95V 30mA
      by Junior†

I have a customer that mailed me his a1932 (820-01521-A), all i know is that it is completely dead.

      here are my measurements/observations

with battery/fan connected (connected to 65W charger):

top USBC port: 4.950V (starts at ~75ma, then settles at 30ma) note: sometimes this port has the same behavior as bottom port with battery connected (so 20v 0ma)
bottom USBC port: 20V (80ma for a split second then goes to zero)

without battery, fan is still connected:

top USBC port: 4.950V (starts at ~75ma, then settles at 30ma)...
