Its the other way around ....it will charge slower but fine. it will not run / post if using low watt charger when battery disconnected. Always use a 85watt OEM charger on your test bench. 3rd party charger power ratings are meaning less...Leave a comment:

A1990 does not have flexgate issue. Liquid spill on display connector LCD or logic board side also burnt backlight connector . Dented bottom corners on screen can sometimes cause no backlight . Dustgate can cause no backlight....Leave a comment:

P3V8AON short to ground less than 1ohm
found CT610 capacitor for the touchID area was short now fixed
I used 820-02443 board view and schematic

I have also seen super slow running 2014 / 2015 Airs ....clients running Mojave or Catalina.
Re-install of OS extremely slow .
fully booted Mac with Chrome launched does about 20 bounces before showing. Disk speed test runs normally . No high fan or sensor issues. lots of free disk space / No virus etc.

second picture looks like possible burnt pins on the flex display connector ?...when this happens the screen side connector also needs replacement.

I struggled with 820-0165 Air ...liquid damage that would not see SSD ...tried clean bios etc.. gave up.
Months later i had been upgrading customers to NVME using adapters . I tried using NVME on it and it worked fine ...detected and worked with no issue . Tried original Apple SSD again no go.Leave a comment:
